I am aware a Z has a 32hp advantage against a 4th Gen but it seems like the increase in horses did not change the 0-60 times by much. I think the Z does have 10-20 less ft/lbs of torqueI would like to see a VE 5speed/ 95 5speed/ and a 2k 5speed and a NA Z run in a straight line, no twisties. I am sure some of you guys have run against a NA Z 5 speed.

I had a 90 300zx N/A 5 speed. Although it was old it still pulled hard. A 95-99+ max would have smoke mine. It was heavy but it looked great and sounded good. It was my toy for about a year, until I decided to get married, now all my toys are gone.

 

Thanks for all the input. I drove a Z perhaps is felt quicker because it was so low to the ground and I was being pushed instead of pulled (RWD) I am looking for second car since I have a modified auto that I am bored with.

My friend a non-tt 300zx and his car feels much heavier. I drive it all the time and its nice but it can be beaten with ease. I did it and he was shocked that a maxima could beat his car, i mean all i did was drop a gear and was out got it up to 110 or so in 4th and dropped it into 5th, and call it a night.

Now he wants to get a tt engine, anyways a max with some mods can beat it.

 

Or no mods.

 

no mods it's the driver that wins. if it is sprintmax driving the 300ZX might win.

No, he just saw Sprint miss the all important 1-2 shift on friday and ended up getting pounced on by another Maxima.

 

yes it was VERY funny. we all almost dies when we heard him try to shift. it was bad. and what do i have to run in the 2k2 to get in?!?
