putting on my B&G springs today
I am putting my springs on today, and I will let everyone know how they do and I will try to get some pictures taken and put them up tonight. I am anxious to see how B&G compare to the other springs.

The install is done
I will have the pictures up by tomorrow.I didn't get to take any pics of the install, just the finished product. I left my USB camera link at school so I can't post them tonight. The install was really straight forward and it took me about 3.5 hours to complete. The only problem I had was a broken spring compressor. I am really impressed with the stance of the car. It has a 3 finger gap in the front and the back sits really even with the front. The ride is really firm, alot firmer than my SE springs were, but I wouldn't say it was harsh. At an Atlanta meet I rode in Ben Garner's max with sprint springs and tokicos, and also Justin Gadlage's max with intrax springs and stock shocks. Mine doesn't feel nearly as harsh as either of theirs did. I still have the stock shocks (75k) on, because I am waiting for the agx's to come out. There is no suspension noise what so ever, no clunking or anything. The thing that I am most impressed with is the lack of body roll, because there is none. Overall I am very happy with the springs, they seem to be the best of both worlds, lower than H&R but not as harsh as sprint. (The other two that I was considering). I can't imagine how my car will handle with new shocks, if they ever come out. On top of it all the springs have a good price too. I will take a few more pics tomorrow to make sure that I have some good ones. Sorry for writing a novel.

about the pics
The pics will be up ASAP. I was having problems with my digital camera software, so I deleted it to reinstall it, and now I can't find the dang CD. A new one is on the way in a few days, or maybe I can just find the original CD. Sorry about the delay, but I assure you I have pictures.

I just ordered a set of B&G Springs from Shox.com for $181 shipped.
It will arrive next week and I plan on installing it next weekend.
Any pointers/suggestions that you may have from your experience installing it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I will be putting on my B&G springs also TONIGHT. Did you have to use the wire wrap on your springs to avoid the "noise" everyone on this board is talking about?
Please provide any pointers, suggestions that I should know about.
Thanks.

install
The install was really strightforward. I did not use any spring insulators other than the ones on the stock springs located on the top and the bottom of the spring. I have heard no noise, so either I got lucky or B&G springs do not rub and do not need any extra protection. You have to use spring compressors on the front and back when taking off the old springs, but only on the front when putting the new springs on. You can compress the rear springs enough by hand to get the nut started. On the rear to loosen the bolt on the top strut mount, you have to hold the piston at the top with a wrench or pliers, or else the piston will just spin and the nut won't come off. It is really an easy install. just take your time and do it right the first time so you don't have to take them back off.

B&G Sport Springs Installed !!
I wanted to share my thoughts and experience with B&G Sport Springs for the 4th Gen (95-99) Maxima.
Cost: $181 shipped.
Vendor: Shox.com
Part#: 62-1-037 (manual transmission)
Company: http://www.bg-suspension.com/
Drop: 1.6" front and back
Struts: Stock. Have 47K miles on them. I'm still waiting for KYB AGX to come out.
Installation:
You *will* need the following:
Impact Wrench. You can buy an electric one at Sears or if you can rent an air compressor with the wrench from Home Depot.
Impact Socket metric - 19mm & 17mm deep sockets. Others can be regular depth.
Spring Compressor - Rent this at Pep Boys or Autozone. Some may disagree but please do not even ATTEMPT to try removing the springs without the compressors installed. You WILL get hurt.
WD-40 - This will loosen the rust and grease the nuts and bolts. This is not required but REALLY helped when removing the lower strut-knuckle bolts.
Jack Stands - The jack that comes with the car is lame. Lift the car using a hydraulic jack ($20 @PepBoys) and put the car on jack stands. Lift the front evenly & completely. Do not lift just one side. You may screw up the alignment.
Time - take your time to do this, expecially if you are doing it for the first time (like myself). It took me 10 hours to do this although I took three 1 hour breaks. Myself and with the help of my cousin, it was a total of 6.5 to 7 hours of work.
Driving Impressions:
The springs are red and match perfectly with my red painted calipers. The car sits noticeably lower than stock springs. The ride is firmer but firm in a nice way. It is comparable to my stock springs when driving on highway, however, you will feel most potholes. If you have a GXE or GLE and are used to that ride, forget lowering springs. All you SE owners should get used to it in no time. The body roll is almost non-existent. These definitely are "progressive" springs. Infact, allthough they are shorter, they have one extra coil compared to the stock springs. These are VERY NICE springs! The ride is better than I had expected after reading everyone else's posts.
Crouching Tiger...OH YEAH!!
Noise Issue:
I had a very minor noise (metal-against-metal) from front passenger spring. This is because the rubber insulation that came off the stock springs is not long enough to cover all necessary metal on the B&G Spring. Like I noted above, this is longer than stock springs. I used an electric wrap (Home Depot), cut about 4 inches, lifted the car and covered the top end of the spring, extending the insulator that came off the stock springs. The noise is GONE!!
I will post detailed installation instructions alongwith pictures as soon as I get them developed. I used the Haynes Repair manual and it was pretty sufficient.

Unfortunately, I ended up needing a little (about 4 inches) of spring insulator on one of my springs...
Cheers!

I've never had h&r's either, I was pretty much sold on h&r's...till I heard about B&G's being lower and just as smoothe. I have no complaints about them...NICE drop and nice smoothe ride, I strongly recommend these springs. I'll try to post pics in a few days.
Thanks for your replies. My KYB AGX's re sitting in my garage, so I just can't make up my mind, whether its going to be H&R or B&G? The only thing I'm concerned about is I have a body kit, so I don't want to go too low and I have 245/40/18 (my next set), so I'm not sure if they'll rub once I'll drop it 1.6" or is it 1.75 w/ B&G? (shox.com says its 1.75")
