we rip on them for paying twice as much (something the GTP guys can't do)

I don't think he is going to reply.. but there are a LOT (15+) gtps at my local track and I'm guessing based on this mods around 13.5-14.0 assuming he can drive his automagic

I usually race at Savannah Dragway on Wednesdays for test and tune, but I will be at Commerce (near Atlanta) sometime within the next 4 weeks.

Rules are simple, run what you brung, and loser has to make a post on their respective forum giving brief explination of race and outcome. Will also consider side bets for beer.

Here's all my performance mods:

3.25" SC Pulley, Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, Custom intake, Custom Exhaust, Reprogrammed PCM, 160 stat, NGK TR55IX Plugs, MSD Wires.

If you would be interested, just reply to this post. Not sure on exact date I will be going to commerce, but will give a week heads up and will pry be joined by a few members of the Georgia Grand Prix Club.

I don't see the point (not just for me)...timeslips or knowing what you run already is how you would do against ANY car.

If your car runs low 13's (modded), and you race against a modded Maxima that runs high 13's you win. Or any other car for that matter. Point being, its not an apples to apples race. NA vs S/C, or S/C vs S/C, or NOS vs S/C, or NOS vs N/A. I don't see what good it would do. Run your times, and compare it to Maximas running slower times, you will always win.

Drag War Mationals are at Houston Raceway Park this weekend, Oct 13/14, send a few GTP guys down, they might wanna run for beer too.

Any of you GTP owners in Massachusetts? If so I'll be more than willing to run you at New England Dragway. Let me know if there's any of you here.

I'm sure I can find a cheaper used BMW than Nissan.
Let's try new; it only makes sense to try new in comparisons.

I'm not attempting to say they are equal cars.. but just that they have "similar" performance in the 1/4 and that the 540i 6-speed costs twice as much.

this does make sense, right?

bottlefed-I've heard of a few people that race at the track you mentioned up in Mass. You may want to go over to www.ClubGP.com and ask if anyone races up there.

Not sure on exactly what my car will run in the 1/4 mile yet (never been). Last winter I ran a 8.95@76.XX and that was with drag radials on. I've done a few more things since then and last week ran a 8.992@78.XX, with the weather at 78 and humidity at 78%, and that was on street tires, pump gas, and not icing down my supercharger. Once I get the drag radials back on, and get some winter good winter air I hope to be able to run 13.5 to 13.7 in the 1/4.
