my car vs 2001 automatic sentra SE-R, who is faster?

my friend is gonna get his in January/Feburary, has 170hp(165 in US but Canadian version gets 170 I dunno why), think my V6 can take him?
and will a stick 1990 honda CRX with I/H/E hang with the SE-R?

You must mean 2002 Sentra SE-R. In 2001 they didn't make an SE-R, they made the SE, which had the SR20DE engine which produced 145HP and 136 pound feet of torque. In regards to your original question, both being autos, I think it will be close at the start, but you should pull once you reach higher speeds.

I still think you would beat him from a light-to-light race, but not buy that much. About the CRX, they are light and can be made wicked fast! I think a stock 2002 SE-R auto would lose to the CRX SI with I/H/E (if he was getting the SE-R Spec-V 6-speed it would be a different story), but woth some mods could probably keep up. BTW I was with with my friend a while back in his 2001 Audi S4 6-speed, and we had a run in with a really clean looking CRX, the S4 killed him though 1st and 2nd, mid way through 3rd the CRX passed us. We were like WTF??? Turned out he was running a 100 shot of nitrous. Thought I'd share.

The SE-R will only have 165hp and 175lb of torque. The Spec-V, however, will get 175hp and 180 torque. The SE-R auto weighs 2800lb, which is only 100lb lighter than a Max GXE.

If your friend is gonna have an auto SE-R, I think the Max should be faster since you have 205lb-ft of torque at higher speed. The SE-R has wider tires and sport suspension, so I think it should launch faster than you. Since you told me that you could beat Preludes and Jetta 1.8t, you should have no problem with the SE-R auto......

As for the CRX 5 speed, I want to say that those are not bad cars....
If you restore it (ie. complete engine/transmission flush), it could be a bad *** car. IF you could get a low mileage, well kept CRX, all you have to do is change spark plugs, coil, wires, air filters and flush the engine, then you are all set to beat SE-R. CRX Si could do 0-60 in 7.1 stock.

2.1 or lower in 60 foot?? r u crazy?? thats like impossible for a N/A max with no aftermarket torque converter, even 2.3 flat is very hard to get in stock automatic. when u say bye bye max do u mean the max smoking/leaving the sentra or the sentra leaving/smoking the max?

you read wrong grasshoppa
i meant 2.1-2.3 in a sentra is highly possible. the also have a differential. i doubt you will win this race if the guy knows how to drive a manual. and i meant leaving the maxima behind. oh and by the way, many people have pulled 2.1 N/A.. i think you meant AUTOMAGIC.
