bad news on the racin front...

I was out cruising... hoping to get a little bit of action on one of the local "race" streets. First, what appeared to be a z28 pulled up next to me.. so we screwed around for a bit, then we shot off... or shall I say, he shot off. As he flew by my car, I could hear his supercharger and then I saw the little sign on the left side... "LT1". I just laughed at myself for trying and pulled over to admit my utter defeat. Feeling rather discouraged now, I went back out to find somebody else. Passing starbux, what appeared to be a normal Eclipse GT pulled up. We both looked at the light, and at green, we were off. I felt ok until I heard his (gigantic sounding) turbo spool up and he just shot off like nothing. So as this Eclipse shot buy, I realized today was just not my day... so now I am home, a complete Monday loser. That is my story.. and I hope for better luck tomarrow.

Man, that sucks, atleast it was an LT1 (s/c at that) that beat you. Those things are pretty quick stock.

good funnies here

I'm glad everyone has had fun with my sucking up the streets of Dallas. To make things a little better, I beat a decked out civic Si and a Acura 3.2 today, so I am starting to redeem.

Hmmmm

Am I the only one that realizes that a 3rd gen Eclipse (the only one that was made in "GT" trim) is NOT TURBO!
To the best of my knoweldge there is not even an aftermarket kit available...although I think a S/C is available.
Hmmmmmm...

Hope you didnt lose to a 3rd gen Eclipse w/ just an electronic blow-off valve.

no.. gt

Nope, he (I) meant GT, and I've seen the turbo, and the intercoolor, and quite a few of his other mods.
