Overall I like it. the shape reminds me of a Benz and Avalon combined together. Im sure the production version will be refined!

I would buy it just for the interior. Clean and uncluttered like an automobile interior should be!!! I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!

i wish the new maxima would go "back to its roots" like it is saying and make the design more like the 4th and 5th generation maximas and less bulgy and add more power to further distinguish it from the new altima

Won't happen, the bulge is here to stay. You 5.5 and below genners will have to get over it.

nismomaxgtr18 - The 7th gen Maxima will not be going back to its roots (midsize, affordable, moddable, reliable sporty sedan) as that vehicle was replaced by the latest 3.5 Altima.

But your 'wish' on power to separate the 7th gen Maxima from the Altima will be granted 'in spades'. The 7th gen will be at least 300 HP, with the optional diesel version available the second year of 7th gen production probably topping 325HP.

Your desire to see the 'bulge' disappear will be granted, but with a drawback; the 7th gen Maxima will probably take styling cues from Mercedes' most attractive vehicles, will be a sports-luxury sedan with a plethora of normally optional things standard, and will have a base MSRP around $31K to $32K, and fully optioned, will run around $38K.

But Ghosn has promised the 7th gen Maxima, in addition to being luxurious, will definitely be a strong sports performer.

I know I am excited about the 7th gen.
