Earnings

Just wanted to know how many of you guys have ever entered a drag racing competition or autocross and won prize money?

I won ~ $1500 in cash and prizes in 99 (2 first, 1 second, and several semi-finalists at NIRA, IDRC, and Import Survival Series events), the only year I drag raced on a regular basis. After that, I left drag racing for autocross (no money to be made there)

Like I said.. it kicked *** at the NIRA and IDRC events.. that's where all the competition, money, and prizes are. The ISS series dishes out chump change and little trophies. My NIRA and IDRC trophies are ~ 3' high

How hard is it to race at nira. B-cause I race at dallas every weekend almost and I love drag, I would like to move on to something that gives some fat pay outs.

NIRA and IDRC events generally draw ~ 300-500 racers so it's not easy. Bracket racing will most likely require at least 10 rounds before you get to the semis and can win $$$/trophies/prizes, sometimes more rounds if the bracket you are in is full.
