2002 mixima 0-100 KM/h ....
I read in the 2002 auto-guide car book that the 2002 maxima does 0-100 KM/H in 7.5 seconds ?! and the altima (with the 3.5) does 7 seconds... is this true ?!?!
(BTW 60 mhp = 96 km/h ... not quite 100 so 0-60 time is slightly smaller .2 or .3)
(BTW 60 mhp = 96 km/h ... not quite 100 so 0-60 time is slightly smaller .2 or .3)

I don't think that's a very accurate assumption. 0-60 is more like 0-99.5km/h and even if it was then 4km/h wouldn't add 0.3secs.
Also, the Altima was tested at approximately 6.0 seconds 0-60 and 14.5 seconds 1/4mile. The Maxima isn't too far off those times.

I dont think those times are accurate considering that they got the I35 to 60m in 7 flat. The Max weighs less and should do it in about 6.7 or 6.8 for the auto. An unofficial test of my 2k I got it to 60 in 6.72 sec before it was broken in. Now the 6spd is a different story!

They must be granny drivers or something...

Hopefully those are the times for the automatics in both cases. That's my only other guess.

Well we have FWD
which makes us slow...

Re: i35 performance
Comparing a Mercedes E320?? The Benz has a 5 speed auto whereas the I35 is a 4 speed auto, still. The gears will definitely help, as it did the Mercedes.

96.xx km/h (almost 97) = 60 mhp ..thats a fact... and im estimating .2 or .3 ... cuz i've compared my max being 0-100km/h 7 sec. and 0-60 mhp 6.6 sec.
