Has anyone measure how much more the 300ZX calipers sticks out compare stock calipers? I'm curious if my GT8 will clear them withou spacers.

Hmmmm, Cheston should know. He had to get rid of his because they didn't clear his rims. Check out his web-site, he might have some measurements.....

The original Stillen SMX had 300ZX brakes on it and Motor Trend did a full test on it. The braking was 60-0 in 111ft. That's better than almost every exotic sports car.

I have the brakes and my wheels barely clear. Never actually measured the caliper width though, but my wheels have about 1mm clearance. Having a wheel where the spokes flair outward is the key. And the brakes aren't all that much better overall. There is no fade, but they aren't all that much more powerful. It's a noticable difference, but unless you're racing or something like that, the performance need isn't there.

With the Stillen Big Brake Kit for the Max, the 4 piston AP calipers and 2 piece rotor, brakeing is supposed to be a projected 60-0 in 96 ft!!!

Yeah, but that's more than just the brakes...

That car didn't have any mods that half the peole on this board don't already have. Wheels, tires, suspension, and the big brakes. The car wasn't lightened or anything.

Since you guys are on the subject of brakes, I'm lookin for steel braided lines for my 3rd gen..

where to get?
I know Stillen sells some, but I don't remember Adam's contact info..
I was also given a phone # of a shop in CA, but I don't have it either.
I'm tired of mushy brakes, and this is the only thing I haven't upgraded in the last 3 months since I smoked at Maxus..

any info would be great.. thanks guys (and ladies)
