Doh! Forget it. I'll take it to nissan and get a full tranny flush then. Don told me to drain and flush the car three times. That means dropping the pan and using three gaskets? Totally not worth it. Thanks for the info.

how was that tire patch for your Benz? what place did you settle on by the way?
I saw on the papers today a place in Northern Blvd--a tire place-- called Mavis discount tires? their prices for tires at seems reasonable when I first caught the papers--but then after speaking to this guy about tire balance--$29.99 but reduced to $18 for all 4, I thought, I go and give it a try and see what happens--and maybe they can look at the brakes too...
anyone heard of Mavis?

My 1999 has a drain plug
You can see it by looking at the tranny pan. I would go with a flush anyway.

Phuong.........you are wrong.
Sorry, but the automatic transmission has a drain bolt on the pan. If you are taking off the pan just to drain the fluid, you are wasting your time, or don't have a wrench that big.
You don't need a road map to find it, just the willingness to get under your car, and look on the drivers side. No advanced degree required, no experience necessary.

Okay, I think I found it the other day then. Its a shallow bolt thats why I wasn't sure if that was it or not. Recessed bolt on black box on left side of the car. Thanks Don.

Did I ever tell you my middle name was procrastination? =P Haven't got it done yet. The benz has a full size spare with a nice rim..
So I'm not sweating it. I think I'm going to the place Albert told me about. 193-14 Northern BLVD, Auburndale Tires. They will repair the tire (if its not destroyed on the inside) balance and align all there. Makes things easier. And according to Albert they work on some nice cars. Most likely take it in mon/tue. If they do a good job I'll tell you guys. So you guys with nice rims have a place to go.
