license plate bulbs like the new lexus?

as i'm sure many have noticed, the license plate light bulbs on the new lexus are really nice; i'm not sure if they're leds (probably) or just really bright, hyperwhite-like bulbs. does anyone know what bulbs would be able to be used for our cars to make that hyperwhite/hid-led look for those bulbs? jsmithsole, probably?

jsmithsole, yeah he has all the good looking led, switchbacks. I put in some that have a blueish tint to them. Look decent compared to the yellowish that was in there.

auto illumination or something like that has some LEDs that are good for licesne plate lights, they are a wide angle LED.

I was tired of trying to fix my rusted lights. So I bought a $2.00 plastic plate frame with a 1/2" lip. Bought a white, flexible, 8 LED strip. Dremeled the frame, then siliconed the strip in the frame. (also going over the strip inlet and wires just to be safe.) Used stainless bolts to secure..and there it is. I don't know if that is what you are looking to do, but I love how it looks, esp in person. The pix do not really do it justice, its much whiter in person, and shows the plate better. To top it off, I have 4600k HID's, and they match perfectly. It was a nice, unplanned bonus.

I believe it should be 194.

I bought some of the LEDs off of eBay and it looked similar to the ones on the Lexus'.

The LED's you find on ebay blow out too quick. For the 2GS, we use Polarg M4's (#194).

Just looking at that ugly light we have in the back today too. I have a 5.5 gen. Autolumination is where I purchased my other LED's and they've worked fine. The light number I need is 2 of the (194)? I'm not sure if I need wide or regular?

Thanks guys cant wait to see the pics ikalinin

I was recommended this site:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.5150
or maybe these?

I"m not sure which would fit your car. I bet youd have to snip some wires and "custom install" either of those.

when you install them, you connect the wire harness into the nissan housing, then you make a loop w/ the wire... that look pushes up against the housing the the led against the lens.. so the fit is snug. it doesn't rattle or move around... its been in my car for the past 8-10 months.. no water, or problems. thats why i'm recommending this great LED.
