After all the talk about Acura this and Nissan that I decided to do a little searching between the websites. Pulled up Acura on the .ORG and found a few moderate posts about there cars. But to a suprise when I went to there site and pulled Nissan; ah $h!t. Man those guys must have problems with there cars. It's always a thread about some punk Maxima member, or why do they think they are better or some $h!t.
I personaly think that they look at our cars and get upset due to the fact for the money that they spent realy isn't paying off. Why don't they just confess that they like the Maxima and be done with it?

plus there are many punk maxima owners out there, just like there are many punkn Ac. owners out there. so they have a valid argument.

There are plenty of punk Max owners out there. One of which is of course Shadow. His car started out as one the scrubbiest Maximas you've ever seen. He's revved on me before and I've pulled over 3 carlengths before I even hit VTEC. Out of the 20+ races I've gone up against him, I've only lost once. And that time it was on a roll from 30 when I was putting along in 3rd and he got the jump on me.

But on a serious note, there are plenty of punks who think their Maximas are God's gift to cars. I was commuting from summer classes at GT this year and this guy in a black 4G SE pulled up next to me and started revving on me for no reason. It was rush hour in heavy traffic so he was pretty much just being a ****. He cut me off a couple of times but I still ended up in front of him when we got on the highway. He then proceeded to do a 100mph blow by in rush hour. I've run into him twice on the way from school and both times he's driven like a complete idiot thinking I won't race him b/c his Stillen muffler's too powerful for me.

Every model car has its own share of trash talkers. Acura and Honda owners usually do more of it b/c some of them bought their cars thinking they were the end all of performance. Then when somebody says anything negative about them, they get a huge inferiority complex and trash any cars that could possibly be faster than theirs. 4th Gen Maximas are getting cheaper by the day and you'll see more and more people acting that way as younger people buy them.

 

Well said, Dont race him if he acts like an ***. You will end up huring yourself or someone else. So that is a smart decision you make, let him kill his self man.

 

I beat a 2001 prelude...hes 5spd and i'm auto..I had like 1 car length on him. BTW were both stock.

i've beat a few preludes before...back when i was stock other than intake and he was stock 5spd

Ok, I guess it wasn't clear that I was joking about Shadow. I should have attached a big photo of his car stock when nobody recognizes it and put a nice smiley face at the bottom. I don't really understand how it suddenly turned into a post about beating Preludes which vary a great deal in speed just like Maximas do.

On the other hand, you guys take this stuff too seriously if you have to show up and mention that you beat a Prelude every time you see that a non-Max owner posts. I have beaten several Maximas before but I don't waste my time posting about it every time it happens. Shadow is my brother and I posted it as a joke since he checks my posts. He knows I kill him all the time when we race since he's spent all his money on show mods. If you haven't noticed yet, he's got 19's on his car and its an auto. He's never focused on racing it and I've probably gotten into more races w/ it than he has. I'm more active in the Maxima scene than the H-A groups b/c I've spent so much time in that car. I know that car's strengths and its weaknesses as well as any Maxima enthusiast. I just think some people on this board could have a little more perspective and not assume I'm another H-A talking trash and maybe read my posts a little more carefully.

The cars were graduation gifts for not going to Georgia Tech instead of a more expensive college. Beyond that, Shadow has paid for everything on that car including gas, mods, regular maintenance and insurance. I paid for most of the costs on the car while I was still in GA but I haven't been able to work since I transferred to Cornell so my little brother gets to drive it(1000 mile trip is too much in that car too).

I admit we're spoiled to have gotten the cars but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate how hard our parents worked. I plan on paying back my parents every cent on my car and for my years at school. Shadow's able to be self sufficient b/c he's working 60-70 hours a week on AP-Signworks, the company he and I started together and he's been working a lot since high school.
