But we get the same grade if not better then what europe/aus gets. IE 87 about equals their cheapest gas there if not has a point or two on top of that.

Eventually I'll get rid of the Maxima but right now trading in the Maxima for a different car to offset gas prices does not make sense, people are leasing hybrids cause they get excellent gas mileage but figure in the car payment

I guess I should say my average speed, on the NYSThurway I do 65-90mph, I know 90 is not fuel efficient

You know my motto?
You've got to pay to play
I knew exactly what I was getting into when I bought my 4th max, and yes, even a couple of years ago the thought crossed my mind.
But I will never give up:
1. The styling
2. The class
3. The comments about "you're car is sweet" (especially from chicks) and "you're car looks brand-new!"
4. The passing power at 75mph on the highway
5. The torque
6. The power in general that comes from the VQ35
just to gain:
1. 5-10 mpg at the most
2. A little ****box to sully up the sight of your driveway or garage
Because you will:
1. Get laughed at (I'm 22)
2. Get passed constantly by truckers
3. And ricers (even worse)
4. Have to borrow friends cars to pick up chicks / go out
*I love driving to the nightlife in my Max, but I wont drive to it in a civic
At 26mpg (average of my city/highway, I do 80% of my driving on the highway) @ 3.67/ gal of 93, that cost me a little over .14 cents per mile to drive.
At 36mpg @ 3.67, ok even say 3.56 for 85 (but don't hybrids need premium?)
thats just about .10 cents for a mile driven. Really, would you give up all of the give up the listed above, just to gain the meager benefit that have some serious strings attached, just to save that .05 cents a mile?
Here's a dollar, save the style!!!!

Funny thing is that the government knows this and will cont. to raise prices because they knwo we wont change.. we just will adapt and adjust accordingly.
but no. no point in trading it in and gettin rid of it. I just know how much it cost me to get where im going and how much gas it uses. honestly, your foot is the bigger culprit than the prices. and makin unessary trips that you dont need to make hurts ya pockets as well. so no, im not gettin rid of the max. ill just drive slow homie. LOL

I daily drive an 07 Ram, Quad Cab 4 wheel drive with a Hemi. The maxima gets almost twice the gas mileage. So no, I wont be getting rid of the maxima for a little 4 cylinder. However, I will be getting rid of the maxima once I push the piece of crap off a cliff.
