Fair price for a new 2001 Maxima
I am looking for a new 2001 Maxima GXE with auomatic transmission + Comfort/Convenience package. I offered three dealers:
2k1 Maxima + Auto + C/C 21000.00
Trade in 93 Altima GXE 3000.00
Cash difference 18000.00
Dealer prep fee 0.00
Net 18000.00
+ tag
+ sales tax
no one will bite. They didn't so much complained about the $3000 trade in value,but the $21000 Maxima offer. I know the invoice is around $22300 and now there is a $500.00 incentive out. Where are those who saids you can go $1000 below invoice easy? It does not seem this way in South Florida. The dealer showrooms are packed on weekends when it is RAINING outside!
