1) it handles like a damn boat
2) the hood weighs like 50lbs and the sturts are shot (nissan should of put the hood stand)
3) whos bright idea was it to put a brown dash in a tan interior
4) my driver door hinges are sagging (even after i replaced them)
5) my axles break cause the car is lowered
6) i need an extra key and its $110 at the dealer. i have a freaken base model
7) aftermarket support sucks on my 4th gen!!!

 

I hate that is shakes when a bigger car passes it when you're sitting still. And I hate that my tape deck and cd player don't work. Oh and it having bad rotors.

Other than that I love it to death and hope it serves me another 5 years.

It should have come with the 3.7l (the 7th gen.).

I rigged that trunk button up so that it only works when the ignition is off.

 

I hate that the seats don't lower enough. It feels like I'm 7 feet tall trying to fit in there.

 

The typical Nissan saggy rear end look. The FSM shows it, and the saggy a** only gets worse with anything in the trunk/rear seats. Other Nissans also exhibit this poor styling (02+ Altimas).

I had to raise the rear (Eibach/Koni) to get a decent appearance; sorry, no picture.

I have only had my 02 like a week, but I really love it so far. was very well taken of by the previous owner, so I really have niggling issues, even at 143k miles love the power, the 6 speed, the hlsd, and the extra room with a 1 year old baby compared to my 2000 civic Si I had previously. honestly, if I hadn't loved the car I would not have bought it my only complaint is that I didnt have it sooner

 

I also love my maxima to death. But that check engine light is so annoying man. Rust on the wheel arches and rocker panel are an eye sore especially because my car is white. Rim are all scratched up and tires are so bad its hard to drive in winter...I always get stuck...which is why my spoiler is broken off from getting a push when I got stuck in my driveway....and I hate how it looks without it. I hate that crappy cassette deck. I bought me a cool new chrome shift **** and cant get the old shift **** off. My parking brake works when it wants to. Opened my sunroof and it got stuck so I had to close it manually...its still not closed all the way cuz it cant go upwards to seal the roof shut. Its super dirty and I cant wash it cuz of the weather. One fog light went out after I just changed the bulbs. Cant hook it up the way I want to cuz I aint got a job since the economy is all jacked.

 

everytime i try 2 take off on another car it always misfires -_-

 

I have had my '96 GLE for just about 3 years and the only thing that I can think which peeves me the most is the turn radius which has been mentioned so many times here.

Overall, though I do love my Maxima, got it when it had 68K original verified miles on it, and it was garaged and pampered. I am trying to keep it that way now. But somehow with a 7 year old with adhd in tow in the back seat, things don't always work out that way.

 

I hate that we can use the key fob to roll the windows down, but to roll them back up, you have to go get in the car and turn the power on

 

damn money pit, once u fix something something else goes wrong.

2. When I'm in first or second gear at low speeds (say 2nd gear at 20 mph) and I let off the throttle, the car will jerk.

What''s the jerking? 2005 max.. my car has been jerking and even the darn dealer can't tell me why it's jerking (but nissan in SC says my timing chain is bad 1700.00 bucks); can't don't know why it's jerking. No engine lite is on... I'm so sick of the jerk. It's almost everytime at 20mph (giving gas or braking). Front nose & back nose of transmission of cracked, and motor mount will be replaced Monday. I hope this stops the jerking. I probably will never buy another Nissan EVER. First time I had to fix anything on my car but it appears to be one thing after another. HELP>> any ideas of what causes the jerk?

i have a hard time naming my car and also a hard time referring to my car as her.. just can't lol. it's too beast

 

the rust eating away the bottom of the car how hard it is to find cheap 205/65/r15 for tires the 1995 maxima .

I have an EYESORE of a dent on the rear bumper(car came that way, will get fixed next time I go home for an extended amount of time)
Have some annoying scratches on the front(car came that way)
My trunk tries to kill me if I just open it and dont make sure its stopped
The speakers sound VERY distorted when cranked and both treble and bass are at its maximum level
The steering wheel looks too much like the last gen
I still love my car though lol

it looks like an old grandmas car

its costly ( 1300 for new clutch, 1350 for new transmission)

but engine still runs like new im told by many mechanics !!!!

'96 shallow cup holders cant hold cans or big cups, its heavy, and no standard abs, otherwise great to drive

 

The dash lights typically has a mind of its own and goes on and off when it wants.

 

that i hve to make a 3 point turn at the end of my road in the cul-de-sac but my neighbor can do it in one motion in her sequoia

 

1. the Sunroof stopped working.
2. there is a hole in the exhaust so people keep asking me did i do something to the muffler ( aftermarket) b/c is sound real deep.
3. No heated seats in this one.
4. 236k and its starting to come to the point where im starting to think if i really want to fix it this time .
5 the other 5 or 6 things that needs to be fixed on it under the hood and wheel wells

but i still love my car when she running right or just running period... dont tell her i said this she is sensitive...lol

 

I hate that it won't die. I'm tryna get a 5 speed 4th gen but my current one (Automagic) shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon

 

so if its in good shape, sell it and get a 5spd or 5spd swap it
