Front wheel drive. Drives me bonkers. As much as I love Maximas the one I have now will probably be the last based solely on the fact it's FWD. I thought I could learn to like it but no. I don't even understand why they make the Maxima with FWD.

but Nissans had so many RWD cars, all of the Z's, Skylines (GTS-T or can count GTR if you pull the fuse), 200sx, 240sx, Silvia, G35, etc. i guess they just wanted to go FWD, though i still think as well that the Maxima should have stayed RWD and just have stuck Altimas with FWD

Yeah I suppose. But I can't fit all my music gear in any of those RWD cars. The Maxima is such a nice midpoint between a sporty car and roomy practical sedan. RWD would have just made it the perfect car for me.

The subwoofer always cuts out randomly, and the speedo/fuel gauge lights only work at night time when they want to

Turning radius isn't THAT bad, guys. I just came from a Titan... The Titan has one of the worst turning radiuses in truck circles, much less compared to cars.
It could be worse.

It pisses me off that I messed up the paint on one side by parking too close to a foot tall skinny stump I didn't see. And it pisses me off that I had a tire blowout so bad on the other side that the steel belts pockmarked the paint, ripped off the back door handle, and put dents in the door and the 1/4 panel.

It pisses me off that I don't have the extra cash to fix all that.

It pisses me off that everything that needs fixing (that I can't do) on my 4th gen costs a minimum of $500.
It pisses me off that I've had 2 water pumps in 4 years.
It pisses me off that it seems like another ignition coil is going to crap.
It pisses me off that I don't still have my '90 240sx, which never caused me any major problems whatsoever.

One thing that doesn't **** me off is having found this forum to get such great help.

All the brittle nuts and bolts that hold the car together, I can't take anything apart without breaking bolts and then having to drill and tap.

1. The rust problems the 3rd gen has (mine was definetely a victim)
2. The fact that SE 3rd gens are so much better than GXE's.

why the **** is it lower and not as wide stanced in the rear as the front, when you put aftermarket wheels on it they get tucked in the rear while fine on the front

New gripe: the dent in my hood from where I tried to "nicely" close my hood. Word to the wise just slam the fargin thing.

Old gripe that reminded me to pop in here: The AT transmission logic is still a fargin moron. Once again, just because I backed off the throttle for .02 seconds doesn't mean you need to upshift and bog the engine while I add to the dent in the floorboard under the gas pedal. IT MEANS DOWNSHIFT!!!

all the more reason I dislike automatics. I refused to get one when I got my current car. I MUCH prefer shifting for myself

I get a massive difference in city MPG vs highway MPG. I get the normal highway MPG but my city is terrible. That and the fact that my 5.5 gen is so long, I can't fit into a lot of spots (I live in NYC)

I have a 2005 Maxima SE. Dark Blue with Black leather. I love the preformance on this car. I put a ram air intake on it and when I stomp on it it sounds like the motor is coming trhough the dash!! A blast to drive but it is BY FAR the worst car I have ever owned in terms of road noise, and vibrations! I mean you can have a conversation with the windows up on the highway!!

Are they all this loud or do I need new tires?

Sunroof- I've never seen one fail as fast as the one in the Maxima. Plus the idiot-programming is just maddening. Seriously, if someone is stupid enough to stick their head, arm whatever in the sunroof while it's closing they deserve what they get.

Added detriment: The idiot-programming makes zombie-entry way too easy. All they need to do is stick a finger in there and within moments they are gnawing on your head.

I dislike the oil dipstick for the VQ35DE, its hard to read the oil level.
I dislike the oil consumption.

..I love my Max, but these two things in conjunction with each other **** me off.
