The sounds the dash makes while driving.
Water leaks into the trunk.
The clock works when it wants to.
It's an automatic.
No gear selection indication in the instrument cluster, (the letters are there, i dunno why nissan didn't do it...)

 

Couldn't agree more... drives me nuts when I brake it works when I hit a bump it works. then it stops working again. Notorious left side cut off. And the fix... geezzz thake the whole damn thing apart and it's not even a permanent fix.

 

Oh and I forgot to mention fuel door latch is broken.(wouldn't even know how to fix the damn thing).

Would agree that turn radius is extremely horrible.

Love the looks of the leather seats but hate the sliding from side to side in turns...LOL (Guess it would be worst if it had more turning radius...)

Since I got the car (bought it used) I can't tell if the climate control butons are suppose to be back lit like the radio ones...

Radio display horrible as well in the sunlight.. can't see a thing...

The only thing that comes to mind about my Maxima pissin me off is my neighbor's twin turbo Fairlady Z sittin next door all shiny.

 

some rust appeared above rear wheels, took me 4 hours to replace an injector, had to take the IM down and all the stuff around, but everything alse is perfect

 

'04. Turning radius.

 

I hate the Maroon color. The tan interior or brown in places (looks like crap).

 

i never heard of that problem before.. do you ride around with your headlights on?

 

when going from a jeep wrangler to the 2k max, the turning radius is definately noticed...

 

then why the hell did you buy the car.


I hate to say it, but 75% of the complaints in here have nothign to do with the fact their car happens to be a maxima.

I hate that some a$$hole keyed my car and will run $1000 to fix it!

 

1. Turn radius
2. Road noise
3. Love the cloth seats except for the static charge it builds up on cold dry days
4. Intake manifold has to come off to change the back 3 plugs
5. Tranmission shifts soft when cold, seems to be typical of 5/5.5 gens

Rusty Radiator Supports! WTF, when everything else is fixed the skeleton starts falling apart?!! I mean WTF ! ? ? ! !

 

So what you do is go buy some of those ribbed condoms or some of those regular galoshs and cut out a piece to fit the pedal, contact glue it in place and voilla! Problem solved! Next question plez!

 

dont know if i post here before but one thing that bugs me about my max, is that in my auto it takes forever to shift out of 1st. it drags the shift for about 2 sec

#1 That I am over in Iraq and she is back home sitting there like an untouched canvas. #2 That with all the mods for the VI Generation and I have no idea what to do first lol.

1. Slow and sometimes jerky ATF gear changes.
2. My passenger seat vibrates slightly when nobody is sitting in it, and seems to bounce off the seatbelt area and makes a really annoying noise. (Has anyone else had this problem? I've never seen anyone talk about it.)

Other than that, I love my car.

 

My complaints about my 06 Max SE:

1.) Turning Radius
2.) The huge gap at the front tires
3.) The Shimmy Problem

 

On the 2001 AE, the fact that the temp control **** and radio volume **** are the same size and real close together. I keep freezing myself out when I want to turn the radio down.
I'm sure I'll get used to it..I've only had the car a couple days.

Also I cannot see my top part of my speedometer when my steering wheel is tilted all the way down.

 

The rear beam + coilovers absolutely blows on rough pavement

Top end sucks; IM needs more plenum volume

Engine note kinda sucks

Front suspension geometry really sucks when you lower the car

I had an 88. The ting that pissed me off was that the body fell apart. I could have driven it to the junkyard.

 

poor gas mileage....when the windows arent closed and i close the door it sounds like the glass broke.....widest turning radius i ever drove

 

although the antenna cable is hooked up on both ends, reception started sucking a few weeks ago. plus the broken motor mounts, weak brakes, tired suspension, and weathered paint. nothing a little TLC (and $) can't fix. turn radius sucks too, and my clutch pedal makes this click/pop sound even after i installed that bushing i found on the floor of my parts car...

 

i hate how when i turn the *** for my sound, the sound turns up but doesn't show me how high it is with numbers or anything....

 

The Sunroof rattles when fully open and I can't figure out what is making the noise.

 

How exactly is this the Maxima's fault???
