Hmmm.... good point. But I promise you, I literally have my shaved '99 Maxima emblem here in my office at work. The A's are crossed from the left leg. But this is the '97/'99 'attached' MAXIMA, perhaps the '95/'96 'detached' is different? I'll check when I get home because I have that too.

O.k., here is a pic. of the '95/'96 M A X I M A and the '97/'99 M_A_X_I_M_A

Like I said before, the A is crossed from the left leg of the A, not the right. I can't believe Maxima.org is wrong! Also, you'll note different leg widths on the M, A and X's, if you want to get technical. Also, note that the angle of the letters is much different than the Maxima.org above, which almost look italicized.

^^ pshh....nobody cares about 4th gens

besides, if you use the exact same lettering, that could be considered trademark infringement (note that "Maxima.org" is not an "authorized by Nissan" site....)

You're right. I rarely leave the SCed or 4th gen forums so I forgot I wasn't in the 4th gen forum - lol. I was thinking only in terms of 4th gen. I tried to look at a badge on a 6th gen. last night on the way home and, while we were doing 65 mph, I do believe the tie down and .org banner match the 6th gen emblem.

The bars are in and they look great! I will posting a new thread under the classifieds here shortly since this isn't a general maxima discussion anymore. Thats unless the mods over move this thread over.

I could make one for the I30/I35 if there is enough interest.

you should make one that just says nissan, and then you could sell to a much larger community just as long as the tie downs are the same size I'd buy one for my 240

I'm in if you make one that says infiniti. Or maybe has the infiniti logo on it.

Great idea! You can make two different design sets, a NISSAN logo and INFINITI logo. I feel like the "MAXIMA" is just a bit flashy and busy... fills too much of the tie down.

Either way I'm buying one
