I think it will be exactly the same for me mate.

The Corollas or the Golf (unless it's a GTI or an R32 but then what's the point of trying to 'economise'?) are going to be more fuel-efficient but will no doubt leave me with a yearning for more power; especially when someone overtakes me and I know full well in my Max I'd make them suffer...if I was that way inclined...but then no one on here condones going fast...

Ahem...NISSAN forum mate...NISSAN does not begin with the dreaded and hated 'H O N D...' better stop there...might make myself throw up.

Even though they are great cars that give back good economy and fun...I could never buy an 'H' without feeling like a complete traitor. I'd have to start wearing a sweater my granny had knitted if I bought an Acc-ord.

I had read an article before with more numbers and proof, but i'm too lazy to find it.
so if everyone who drove cars rode bicycles, there'd be more pollution? Biking 25 miles isn't that hardcore. What is your point

There seem to be two distinct threads going on here.

One *****ing about bikes versus cars.

The other about what you'd trade your Maxima for and what economical hatchback I should get and whether or not it should be auto/manual, diesel or petrol.

If you're in the 'bike versus car' part - please start your own thread.

No offence guys.

I had a similar thread moved to off topic. But I have to have my 3.0. The 3.5 can go. The 4x4 87 can go though it's still loved. But I would gladly take another 3.0 Vq

Dude you live in Australia right?

(I love your exhaust by the way, it sounds beautiful)

Get a Primera!

I would get one here if I could find one for cheap. The turbo ones are prob more fun than a Max and better on gas too...

yes i actually happened to be reading about this yesterday. overall the VWs of late are not as reliable as they once were AND the parts are absurdly expensive.

i was also reading yesterday about hybrids and learned this tasty bit of info:

a hybrid car gets WORSE gas mileage on the highway and BETTER gas mileage in the city.

That's exactly what I'm thinking of doing now...winter=rain in San Francisco Bay Area but it's doable.
