Its the FMIS(Front mounted intake system). I didn't know they made one for the maxima. It looks like an intercooler. I wonder what the HP gain is compared to the CAI.

Probably not much of a gain. You have to travel at high speends >70 or >90mph before you see air being "forced" in to the intake at any reasonable velocity.

Combined with the water ingestion risk (higher than a conventional CAI, I would think) and the fact that it's just plain ugly... naaaah.

 

Kinda 'ricy' looking. I wouldn't want to have anything that looks like a FMIC unless I had one.

plexiglass that you can cover up the K&N filter so it doesn't get any water in it. You can take off the plexiglass for racing or for the RAM effect.

 

looks just like one. I saw this new civic one day and saw what i thought was a intercooler, tellin' my girl that has a turbo on it. it probably was just one of those wanna be's,
fake intercooler intake,that's ricey.

 

Why would you want something that looks like an intercooler but uhh is just an air filter?? i dont understand the logic...
