Yo how much for the 60k

service? I just want to make sure the dealer is in-line with everyone else. My car just got 27.6 mpg over a 500 mile trip but I want to do the service before the powertrain warranty expires. I have issues. Sometimes the wheels need some grease to get those issues resolved, and the 60k service is the ticket in. Thx.

When I had my max I think I spent around 250-300 for my 60K service. But that may be high because I did have some things replaced.

Just do it yourself. Look up the "Shop Talk" link on the ORG, go to care and maintance and just do all those things listed. As far as money to pay to get this done, it's over a houndred dollars.

All I can say is shop around. I spent over $500 for mine (had to replace a drive belt [$110]).
Later I saw at a different shop it was $259. Also, they will charge you more because of the Platinum plugs, but they should also give you a discount if you have a 5spd, because of the automatic service.

I think it'll run me mid 300 bills. I got this annoying situation where I have to add oil between changes so I want to get this corrected under warranty--somehow these problems don't get solved when you simply drive in for "warranty" service. When you get some repairs that you pay for then they suddenly dealers discover the problems you report.

Don't know where the oil is going because it's not under the car. Don't think Maxes burn it this early like Toyotas do.

The 60k service should cost approx $300 (or less) from a good independent shop.

I usually pay approx $150 for the 15k service, which includes

1) oil and filter
2) air filter
3) fuel filter
4) drain and refill coolant
5) drain and refill ATF
6) rotate tires and brake inspection

At 60k, you will want to have your spark plugs and serpentine belt replaced. Plugs list approx $15 each (cheaper if you buy them yourself), and the belt approx $20 (I think there are two of them).

For under like 100 bucks you can do it yourself in a few ours. Plus if you notice what the dealer does everything is like check the xxx they dont actually do all that much.
