Tint % law for all states.

I came across this site and thought it would alleviate some of the tint question threads.

Well its a help! But colorado has 2 different sections:

CO* 27% 27% 27% 4" NET
CO* NO% ANY% ANY% 4" NET

But I have 15 all the way around in colorado for several years. Have been pulled over, but never for tint. Infact I have never seen it enforced. I'm sure its the same for most states.

Edit...link covers it all. Don't I feel stupid.

I am pushing it here in Wisconsin with 40% 35% 35%. But it is so close I never get hassled. I did get talked to about my exhaust yesterday.
officer "technically your exhaust is modified and that is illegal"
me "can you tell me exactly what is illegal?"
officer "it is too loud"
me "can you tell me the exact tone it is suposed to have? Because my exhaust follows all factory designs just larger diameter piping. I have factory exhaust manifolds, just polished, a catylitic converter and a factory style muffler, it is just from another manufacturer. Does the law state that I have to use the dealer to buy my exhaust?" I explained that I was not trying to be a smart-a$$ I was asking so I would know.
The officer did not ticket me or give a a "fix it" warning. He simply said "someone else may ticket you so be careful"

Thanks for sharing, but I'm not quit sure how accurate that table is....

In CA, ANY tint on the front windows is illegal.

In NJ they can not pull you over for tint but it they have you pulled over for something else you can get a ticket for the tint. Also they will not pass you on state inspection.

How can you tell what % tint does the car have? I'm purchasing a used car soon, and two of three I'm considering have tinted windows.

I know about the tinit laws and what sucks is, I bought my car in Florida and I live in Alabama. Now, if I don't want to get a ticket, I've got to take it off and pay to have more put on.
It sucks, but I can't take the chance, cops in my town are notorious for writing tint tickets.
