Can I skip the polish step? I am always so tired when doing it. Wash, clean, ploish, wax,....phew...I'm tired. Can I just polish it and then wax. The few times I've done the polish I don't notice any difference.

Welp slappy.....

I slep from 9:30 to 9:30 this morn. I feel great! I don't want to turn the car into an all day project. I still would like to go workout, study while I'm at school, and I have to pad that cone again. The foam I had worked its way out...now it bangs over bumps again.

BTW: the battery sounds sweet when it starts. It help the load issure a litte...but not much. Its all good...I like it.

Ok if ya wanta skip it try this. Wash the car then dry it. At this point take your fingernail over the surface of your car. Is it smooth? If it is then its probably ok to skip this step. If your not sure then polish a small area and compare that with the unpolished area.

What the polishing does is remove all the junk from your paint. The wax then protects the paint.

How's that

phrewww

am I tired--I agree with mike s...it is a project for the entire day to do this wash, polish, wax etc.
I was up at 7 this morning and it is 10:40 right now. I handwashed the baby--the I dried it...there were a few places where the paint was not so smooth, but no big deal. i then proceeded to use the Meguiars Canaubra wax--and waxed about two coats and then buff...and I am poffed.
Damn thing is that there is a lot of wind so by the time I am done there is a lot of dust on it-- oh well, at least I know that the paint will be protected for the winter.

By the way, how long is the wax from meguiars supposed to last? twice a year or what?
