Everything... actually the thing is, there is nothing that I DON'T like. I mean, every piece, every line, every part: I can't think of one thing that I would change if I designed the car myself.

And like others have said, there is just something about driving these cars. I have always driven manuals, but the feel, torque, power delivery and smoothness of these VE 5spd drivetrains is still an absolute joy, even after 3 years of ownership...

Reliability. I bought mine new in 97 and it still runs great at 126K miles. Starter, knock sensor, o2 sensors, and axles are the only parts I've had to change besides the normal maintenance stuff like tires, brake pads/rotors, muffler, air filter, battery, and oil. Still on original suspension. The Bose head unit On/Off/Volume **** is starting to go out, and sometimes I need to insert a CD 2 or 3 times before it reads it, but it works well enough. The speakers are just about shot though.

What I love:
  • the premium leather seats - so soft.
  • the way the exhaust sounds when I hit the gas.
  • my shiny black paint
  • my dual moonroofs
  • my spoiler (first one ever for me)
  • heated steering wheel
  • turns heads
  • is a 4DSC
My list could go on and on.

I've had my 1996 Maxima SE since august and I think it is a great car. It's been a very reliable daily driver and has the perfect balance of economy while still being very fun to drive. The other day, I raced a friend from 40 miles an hour to 60ish in his 2000 eclipse gt and he couldn't pull away from me. His car is an auto with a cold air intake and borla cat back. I'm completely bone stock but do have a 5-speed. I even got him to admit that i would win with a cold air and a cat back. I would love to modify the car, but that's what I have the impala for.

Yeah, GAB FTW! It sounds amazing. And I love how I beat some kid from 40 - 70 mph who thinks he's all that in his highly modded civic and the only mod I've done is GAB. Oh, and blue LED interior (window switches, in the door grab handles, auto shift lights, heated seat and steering wheel switches, dimmer switch, footwell lights in front and back, and under the climate control) and Umnitza Orion V2 Angel Eyes. Those make it faster right??

For me it's simply the look, feel, and drive of the maxima. Day and night, I drive it constantly, addicted to the rush of slamming the pedal down on the highway, when 80 feels like a smooth 60. Relentless thrashing, mile after mile, and the only repurcussion being me turning off the ignition. Tomorrow is another day, lol.

I like the fact that after 160,000 miles I put the key in the ignition and it fires up the same way it did when I baught it new back in 1999 with 0 miles on it.

It's like the energizer bunny, it just keeps on going and going and going.

One other thing. The 2009 Maxima and the 2008/2009 Infinity G35/37s are the best looking cars on the road.

Other Maximas are too!

It's always fun surprising people in my dowdy-looking deep evergreen '96 5 speed. Maybe a better Q ship than even my old gunmetal gray '90 Q45...

What I like about my Maxima

Ok will try to make this down and dirty quick

likes - power, performance, comfort , reliability- LOVE THEM ALL - One other person wrote about how his friends all wanted to drive his car...it is true. All my friends ask "can I drive"

dis likes - gas mileage, high octane fuel requirement, insurance rating as a sports car....even though they are right

final note. This car is so reliable and generally sturdy that you may need to pay for additional mental therapy when you do have break downs. I hit a 105k and I had a front end collision. Air conditioner condenser and idle air control problems are still bothering me. In summary, I am so used to this car being flawless now that I have to deal with these issues of the ole girl not running right I am going CRAZY

Anyone want to comment how well there 01's are holding out? I've been having problems with the exhaust. I've replaced 3 O2 sensors and the forward CAT as well as the radiator. The CAT replacement was a pain in the A**!

I don't really LOVE driving the car, but I don't have a sports edition. (well I do now as of yesterday). However, there is no doubt that it has been the most trouble free mind easing car I've ever owned. So much so that when it was demolished, I bought the same exact car (even color) to replace it with, just a little newer and less miles and got the T version.

Hopefully I can get 300K before someone bashes me on this one. I am looking forward to the test.

I love the character of our cars. I mean in daytime it has a certain look to it that makes us just say WOW and at night the way the car shines makes it look really aggressive, yet subtle at the same time.

Oh one big thumbs up is the acceleration, I've always told my family that my car probably has a better acceleration than my brothers BMW and one day I drove both, and our Maxima had the greatest from the line acceleration, but once it gets up to 60, the BMW had the better acceleration.
