Lost keys, but got a replacement!

OMG! Let me tell you what happened. So, last weekend I lost my keys and had to wait until that Monday to get my car towed using a rollback to the Nissan dealership. But, when I arrived, I find out that my key code was never registered on file and nobody, not even 1800nissan1, had my information. I was told to look in 3 different places on the car and I found NOTHING; the dealership found nothing.

So, the dealership told me they cut a key, but that key code was incorrect and the key didn’t work. Then, their option was to take my lock out of the door or the ignition. But, the cost was just out the roof! So, I decided to call a locksmith to come to cut and program me a brand new key.

Now, I have a key, but no key fob, but I’m trying to find a new one! I didn't realize how much I depended on that button.......LOL

So, has anyone else ever had this problem of losing their only set of keys??

I havn't had to replace a key yet but I did have the weirdest problem where my spare key must of had a malfunction with the programming because whenever I tried to turn my car on with the spare key it would not start and put the car in a like anti-start cycle where I wouldn't be able to turn the car on for like another 2-3 hours, like some sort of anti-theft system. For the longest time I thought it was my battery or my alternator but both were completely fine to find out it was my spare key the whole time.

I had multiple copies of the key made right after I bought my Max. I keep spare keys to all of my vehicles on the hooks by my front door.

I just had an extra one made. I had a locksmith make a new one for me.

The cost was much better than going to the dealer.
