You can't fight it sheesh. You were caught redhanded period. Go to court, they will reduce it for just showing up. Replace all the little rice bulbs in the car w/ dot legal ones and take a picture. If you show that you are trying your best to comply w/ the law, the judge will show mercy. That's it, period. Live and learn.
just because you defend me.. does not mean i am going to agree with those comments.. dude come on.. you defended about 10 other people in that thread and they all turned on you.. i appreciate your support.. but those comments were not called for..

At least I was trying to support your actions, if you disagree to fast driving so much why did you do it in the first place and have it recorded. Second of all I know what driving in Germany looks like, b/c I've been there a few times, and rented a car each time. Yes you do only pass on the left. My point is that speed doesn't kill, stupidity does. I am know to be a fast driver, but always stay safe. Also I love the way sprintmax dogs me out after I comment on their vid. and defended him against another post, thanks for your loyal support and next time be carful when racing on the street and recording. That's so adult thing to do!

Plead guilty, show them you've changed the bulbs back and you'll likely get one ticket ($30), one court charge ($20) and be outta there only 50 bucks lighter in the wallet.
Show them even the slightest bit of attitude and you'll be looking the full $230 straight in the face. Good luck.

You mean plead guilty, but with explanation??? Or do you mean plead guilty, but dont pay and send them pictures of yellow bulbs in my car and beg for a discount? If you plead guilty I thought it meant your agreeing with the ticket, so then you would send in the full payment with it, wouldn't you? I doubt they would send me a refund for the difference after.

Seriously, what's up with the blue lights anyway? Here in ontario, blue lights means you want to plow snow. Install a plow on the front of your Max and its now legal
. Now red, that's a colour ppl notice!MaXXX

To be honest, it is my opinion that most cops are pigs and they are on a big power trip. I would be too if I was one. I used to work at a Ford dealer and occasionally we'd service the police cruisers and I would drive them around. You can't tell me its not fun to tailgate people in a police cruiser and know they are sweating inside, because I have done it before. The cops in our area are so egotistical as to put license plate holders that say "Aren't you glad that I am not behind you?". Cops violate the most traffic laws, and then enforce their double standard on the rest of us. I more often then not see pigs tailgating extremely close to people's rear bumpers, make lane changes w/o signaling and using their lights to get through lights quickly and then turn them off and continue their patrol. They consider themselves the God of the street, and it is only by their grace and mercy that they don't pull you over. Cops had better not tailgate me, because if they did like I see them do to others, I will slam on the brakes and let them hit me. So what if I get arrested or something like that, in the end I'll win, because I will not allow cops to ride me, and when I sue the P.D. the city would be quick to settle. The cops in Seattle at least are morons, here's an example:
http://seattlep-i.nwsource.com/local..._davis12.shtml
In this situation, the pigs just decided that shoot and ask questions later was the best course of action. Who would want to trust these people? Yes, cops have opportunity to be heros and protectors of us, etc. but most of the time they are a nuisance to have around. Instead of 'targeting' people who like cars, why don't they patrol the seedy areas for drug dealers, gangs, hookers, and the like? how about responding to burgluries a little faster or prevent a domestic abuse tragedy? There is so many better things police could do to promote our safety and well being than targeting people for lights that aren't even close to police lights. We all know what police blue looks like, and it doesn't look like hyper white etc. I have never seen these washer lights, but from what I understand, they are little LED lights that you'd barely see, and look nothing like the light show that a cruiser puts on. I could see the cops' point if they were going after people with strobes perhaps, but clear corners, superwhite bulbs, exhaust, etc.? That is why cops are pigs to me. I used to have a 4 banger 'stang that looked good with kit, wheels, etc. and I always had cops following me, when I didn't even really have the ability to speed on level pavement... This kind of attitude that pigs employ only ecgascerbate(sp?) the impression that most young car enthusiasts have that pigs are out to get them. If pigs wanted to enforce all these minor vehicle codes, why don't they enforce some of the major ones? Harleys are way louder than 90% of cars with exhausts, but they don't get pulled over because in general the riders are older. Its pure and simple age discrimination. Domestics don't get as much flack as imports do because in general its the older population that appreciates those cars. How about cars that are really unsafe on the road, with bad brakes, tires, and other things that would contribute moreso to the hazards we face on the road everyday? Did you reaed the article in Superstreet about street racing and what the cops are picking on? I mean, street racing I understand that cops will try to bust it, and thats part of the fun of street racing. But they interviewed a cop who would pick apart cars and write them up for minor, minor technicalities. That cop was the perfect example of a PIG. So I sympathsize with the guy getting 6 tickets... I guess cops don't hand out warnings anymore, or use reasonable judgement. I honestly cannot relate to those who feel that this is proper. It is age(and/or taste)discrimination, and the way it is exercised is that certain 'illegal' minor technicalities are more important than major ones. Kinda like the way they used to treat the blacks, etc. If a black committed a crime, they would get the full brunt of the law (and they could justify it as well, he received what he deserved) and white people would get a slap on the wrist. So even though something may be considered illegal, there is still room for cops to abuse their power in how they enforce laws on our tastes. And besides those cops have to get donut money somehow!! what better way to bring in a little revenue than hand out $2-300 worth of illegal mod tickets as opposed to responding a little quicker to a domestic violence case or even somebody with car trouble where there is no revenue involved.
To sum it up, I am pretty passionate that most cops are pigs(there are good ones out there, the one who pulled me over for 75 in a 60 on a nice day and said to me "I can understand why you'd want to be driving a little faster on this nice day, but I just thought I'd check you out and ask you to slow down a little" If there was a ratio of warnings given to tickets given, then they wouldn't get such a bad rap. I consider any time I get pulled over and don't get a ticket a positive experience that makes me think once again that cops are really ok and doinng a good job) I was hit up by a pig for making a right after yielding at a red light, was super pleasant, didn't give him any reason to give me anything but a warning(didn't know why I'd gotten pulled over yet) unitl he came back and said "normally I'd just give you a warning, but this time I am giving you a ticket for making a right at that red" I go HUH? last I checked I can make a right turn on red after yielding!! and he said there was a sign that specifically prohibited a right on red for no good reason I could understand. I went back later, and found the sign, behind some foilage on the right and not noticeable until after you have made the turn... Anyways I took pictures and I am taking that one to court. The whole thing about how normally he would've warned me just p***ed me off and drove deep the impression that cops=pigs.

Yeah, here in Albuquerque the police are crazy with their guns, I think they should confiscate them personally :P.. just the other day they shot and killed TWO people. This in a city of 500k with 60 murders a year. I'd say the popos murder over a dozen people a year, while the rest of the city murders 60. There are like a few thousand cops and 500 thousand citizens.. what's wrong with this picture

Why does every thread that mentions police pulling someone over turn into a "bash the police" thread?
I think five pages is enough and you've gotten plenty of advice about what to do with your ticket.
