Gear Shift **** question

Ok I read up on the previous posts regarding automatic gear shift ***** and I just want to make sure that I understand my options.

I have a 5.5 gen Max. I don't have an overdrive button on my automatic gear shift ****. See Below:

I would like to see about having my current **** resprayed but only if it's cost effective and safe.

Since I don't have to worry about a overdrive button, can I also use unmarked manual stick shift ***** that may fit my decor better than the stock one?

This is one of the automatic ***** I am looking at:

Thanks

yea they do. just buy a manual ****. the stock **** is on WAY too tight and they use an adhesive, so its hard to take off bare handed, so wrap a towel around it and use vicegrips or channel locks to twist it off

So are you saying that I can buy a manual **** for my automatic 5.5? I was hoping that was the case!

Please tell me it's true!!! There were a couple of manual ***** that I really liked such as the one below:

It looks pretty similar to my stock ****. Any reason why I shouldn't give this one a try?

I have one in my garage, brand new, I think from an Infiniti M. It looks much like your OEM **** but black leather (silver bottom). I'd be happy to sell it if you want. I ended up not using it.

Hehe.. Believe it or not Kev, I just reached 61k on it yesterday..lol!

I used to drive sticks all the time I do push the car hard at times. My right hand is always on the stick shift mind you.

It's an eye soar because the rest of the interior is mint..smh!

Hey Kev. I don't know if you know about this or not but I am going to let you in on what I use to keep my interior looking like it does. I found this link on this great forum and have never looked back.

Enjoy.

comments like these make me nervous. I didn't go through the whole thread, so there may be some success stories with black interiors.

I use maguires cleaner/conditioner and it works great. leaves me with a new car smell, too.

I'm sure the Mr. Clean things can clean hundreds of other stuff though, so good lookin' out. I hadn't heard of them before.

I see what you mean. If it ain't broke, don't fix it eh?

I'm going to look into it a little more but I have never had a problem with it. Then again, my leather isn't black either.

Oh, Mr. Wet, I have one of these ***** too. But it's black/chrome like erty's. Brand new, unused. I'd be willing to sell it.

But I don't think you want one because you don't need the OD button like the 4th gens do, right?

It's literally brand new. How about 70% (shipped) of the cheapest price you can find on the web? I can't remember what I paid but I bought it from CM/CE years ago.

Ah, I see. Hmm... what did you pay for yours? I'll try to see if I can find my receipt this weekend to see what I paid.

I coincidentally am cleaning out my garage this weekend. I found the Levoc shift **** we were talking about, I found the black stitched leather over silver Infiniti **** I told you guys about and I found another **** I totally forgot about. It's all wood. I bought it for my 1990 Audi 100 over 10 years ago. It was very hard to track down because I wanted Zebrano wood to match the rest of the Audi's interior. I think it's meant for a Mercedes. I'd be happy to sell it to you cheap Mr. Wet but I am guessing you won't want it since the striped Zebrano wood doesn't match your darker marble wood. Here's a picture of all three *****:

erty, I couldn’t find my receipt for the Levoc **** but check this out, it looks like there is a guy on e-bay selling one for $29 shipped! That's a heck of a deal. I can't remember what I paid for mine but I'm thinking somewhere between $50 and $100. Mr. Wet, you might try contacting him because he does say he has white and CF as well as black. So there's a chance he can get wood. Good luck guys.

would you be interested in the same price? I'd rather give the $ to an org member.

Sure, that's fine erty. I didn't expect to take that big of a hit - but it is just sitting in my garage. So $30 is better than nothing. I guess we can go to PM now...

Thanks, Josh

I think you should go with the cherry **** at the top. Black won't really go with your interior.

Just my opinion.
