Hit the curb instead of an xterra

I was downtown this morning and this idiot pulls out in front of me.. so i move over 1 lane and so does he.. i move over 1 more lane so does he...SLAM into the curb i go!!! my front passenger side rim looks like i drug it on the curb... no other visual damage. the guy pulled over... thought i was gonna have to get midevil on his A$$ if he did not stop. state farm insurance will be contacting me soon to see if i have a valid claim.

my question is other than a rim and alignment.. maybe a bent a-arm? or busted strut?

what else should i be looking for?

thanks

I would have it checked out just in case. You could have knocked something out of place. You should have gone ape $hit on his @$$. Sorry to hear about that, better the curb than another car.

My mom borrowed my car one day and this happened to her. Some old lady pulled out in front of her and she skidded to a stop after jumping a curb to avoid her. The woman didn't stop but it looked bad enough that the man behind her checked to see if everything was alright. I still have that ugly scrape in my rim. UGGHH!

Some dumbass lady talking on her cell phone in a convertible ran me off the road once. Both my right alloy wheels and tires were gone ($800).
I was NOT happy, but couldn't chase her down. She SAW me too, but didn't stop afterward.

I hope she misplaced her curling iron for her tampon the next day.

thats what makes people not want to stop. yeah most of us love our cars but its just a car. it can all be fixed. no need to go "ape $hit"

Just bring it to Nissan and have them do a damage claim, then go to Moe's around the corner and pocket some cash .

took any pictures?

Common damages from this type of senario (from personal experience):
rack and pinion, control arm, tie rod, strut

Since the insurance company is picking up the tab, I'd leave the damage assessment to the pros
