Just curious if oversea's, full Carbon Fibre is legal?
I see alot of members with CF hoods.

Here, it isnt legal, as it doesnt pass our ADR standards. In crash tests, its know to not crumple/'fold' at set points (to shield driver) and/or not hold onto its hinges, and can actually go through the windshield and decapitate the driver.
Getting carbon fibre sheeting over a normal hood, or an alluminium hood IS legal though.
To get it passed, someone has to supply 5 for crash testing (to local licensing authorities) to meet standards, and that will only allow it in one state, not nation wide, so it wont be going legal anytime soon.

What bout the US? or any other countries members are from here?
Full CF legal? sheeting only?

Full CF is legal here in the states. As for the hood flying into the windshield, there's always hood pins to take care of that.

What I meant with that was how CF behaves when it does finally give in its strength and breaks.

Hood pins dont do alot in a crash. I can only imagine that if a hood is forced to stay down, then strain stays on the hood itself, this would give it more tendancy to crack, and in a freak example (or in test crashes that Ive seen), form a sharp edged object, and go through the windshield.
Atleast if the hood isnt pinned down, it can go somewhere rather than breaking/cracking.
