Need AE Rear Bumper in CT
Need AE Rear Bumper in CT
Hey there org members, often lurker, not often poster. I was hit two weeks ago in my 2001 AE on the interstate.
It is a borderline total and the last remaining item that my bodyshop is struggling to find is the 20th AE rear bumper. He has not been able to locate a used one and Nissan no longer makes them. Anyone with a lead on one it would be most appreciated! Please let me know too if a standard 00-01 can be used with some sort of kit that is still available for the ground effect.
Sorry, but need the info really fast. The insurance man is haggling to settle this thing up.
TIA!!!

p.s. apologies for the post in general (I also posted to 5th), but I am running out of time to find this part.

You need the rear 3piece AE valance that are bolted on to the bumper. I believe even if you can locate a dealership that stock the AE valance, it would only be 2 pieces IICR. Only factory AEs are equipped with full 3 pieces. Try posting in 5th gen subforum. I remember there was a guy (who drives a beautiful white ae) that works at a Nissan dealership and he quoted me roughly around $500+ for the rear I think...
Good luck though!

Having my autobody guy try this with a standard bumper

While I was somewhat excited to go buy a new Max, the timing is very bad for a car payment right now so I am glad to be getting my "baby" back.
