That may be true for some Honda owners but how many of you guys have GT-R badges on your Maximas?

I'm sure (or at least I hope) those that put GT-R badge on their maxima don't make fun of type R badges.

 

Oh, but they do. I've seen posts proving this. The same people who down hondas the most and call them ricers are usually the same ones with GT-R badges and Altezzas. I once saw a post from someone defending his GT-R badge while simultaneously making fun of a Civic with a Type R badge. His defense was that the GT-R badges was from a Nissan so it was ok. But the Civic had a Type-R badge and those were on Acuras, so it was rice. He didn't understand that Acuras are made by Honda, and that Civics do come in Type-R form. This is an extreme case, but morons like this do exist.

 

 

The really funny thing is that the only people that do it on a regular basis are the SI moderators, other Maxima owners and non-SI owners.

2k1 civic si = low 16's

2k1 maxima se = low 15's

both slow but max not as slow as si

I saw a GTR badge on a '98 240sx. It made me mad becuase with the body kit, they could have at least put the silvia lightning thing on instead! :-p

 

There is no 2k1 Si. They stopped production in 2000 when they went over to the new body style.

The Si usually runs high 15's and last time I checked most stock Maximas run mid 15's. Yeah there are the ones that run low 15's/high 14's but there are also Si guys that run low 15's stock so there's no point in skewing it.

Also if you didn't notice the 2k1 Maxima lists for about 8k more than an Si. For its price range, the Si was the fastest car in its class.

 

yup.. i will admit it.. when the commercial came out in 99 with the guy escaping from his work facility.. I wanted one i just couldn't justify paying 19k for one so i got a used Maxima instead the fastest one too.. 95 5spd GXE

 

then add 8k to that si and it'll become fi -fast import

 

I can agree on this.

There will alwasy be slow/fast guys in Si's. It goes the same for Maximas.

I can also say that i was looking at a 99 SI before i bought my 99 GXE.

If i was to own a Honda, a SI would def. be a potential choice.

 

Does Acura count too when you're talking about Honda's since Acura is a division of Honda...?
