Some more 5sp stuff

quick question, if a auto can spin them off the line then why can a 5sp always beat a auto off the line. I thought you wanted to spin the least as possible inorder to have maximum grip. anyway explain the advantages of a 5sp clutch drop launch compared to a auto powerbrake launch, i know its a newbie question, slap me and thank you in advance

4. The auto has 10fwhp/10fwtq less than a 5spd.
3. The autos 1st through 4th are taller and thus less acceleration even if it had the same gears as the 5spd.
2. Even with a high stall convertor, shorter gearing is needed to keep up otherwise once the 5spd hits 3rd the auto gets walked.
1. 5spds OWNZ y0!

clutch slip is what a 5-speed would want to do. and power braking an auto sometimes will give more wheel spin than a 5 -speed. i have an auto
