Change rotors but keep old brake pads ?

Hi

Is it OK to change the rotors (front) whithout changing the pads ? The reason is the rotors are warped, I can feel a pulsation when braking. The pads are still good , they are 8mm thick, I put these pads only one year ago and drove only 12000 milles with them (20000 km)

i would just change it, you are already in there, plus from the warped rotors you pads probably have uneven wear, even if you dont see it. do it now so you dont have to do it later

Change the pads with the rotors. Like the others have said, the pads have worn with the rotors, so they may not be perfectly flat, decreasing braking.

They don't cost too much, change the pads.

just to beat a dead horse so you dont try anything silly, always change your rotors with your pads. you may save the money on pads today but you will be spending more money for new rotors and pads in another 10k

I'd definetely change the pads, they're cheap and you'll save yourself the hassle later on down the road.
