Glowing review of the Nissan Altima SE at edmunds.com

The car isn't perfect, but they RAVED about it. Don't read it if your a Altima hater, they basically said its a better Maxima for less money, cuz all you get with the max is a nicer interior and a 6sp.

OK, so they were long winded in what about a dozen different people said here. You want good interior, you get a Maxima, you don't care, you get an Altima.

Car and Driver magazine liked the Altima also, picking it 3rd out of 8 cars in it's comparison test. The Accord was first and the Camry second but there was only 1 point difference between them.

They did say that the Altima was the only car that they really enjoyed driving but many minor annoyances added up to knock it down to third. They included the guage cluster, oddly reflective windshield and some other minor things. The Camry had fewer minor niggles and the Accord had none...according to the article.

I think the Altima is worth a test drive if you're in the market for a new car.

what's happenin' mike? I actually test drove a 2002 5sp the other day at Southtown Nissan (for the free watch of course.. j/k)... was up there picking up a part for my EVAP canister... nice ride, and pretty quick too... you know it's new when the odometer on the ride had 2 miles on it before I pulled it off the lot!

by the way, somebody hit and ran me last night while i was parked outside HSBC arena for the Sabres game last night... scraped up the driver's side fender of my max...
