k&n kit on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...587912&r=0&t=0

Isn't this almost the same as the stillen or the JWT kit? doen't one of them use the same filter? Is this a good buy?

K&N makes a FIPK, which is just an underhood intake, but I don't think this is it. I don't know if they even make them for the Maxima. Why would he only show the filter box? Probably a K&N filter and a no-name intake adapter.

I've seen this, almost bought it. The filter is a K&N but the adaptor is probably just a 3 inch alluminum one. NOt the JWT or Stillen velocity stack adaptor which will require cone intake to have like a 5 or 6 inch opening.

Please, please, please, do nto do business with this guy. He's the jerk who sold me a 3rd gen FSTB that he guaranteed (three times) would fit my VE. Bought it, tried it, didn't fit (of course) and ended up selling it to a Org member with a VG. If you look under his other auctions he's still selling the same FSTB for a 90-99 Max. He keeps getting banned from Ebay, but changes his name and sells again. DO NOT BUY FROM HIM!!!!,

The name, NO. The design, YES.

The "Velocity Stack" or whatever you want to call it smoothes the flow of air into the intake. This may not seem like a big deal, but actually it IS a big deal for optimal intake performance. A poorly designed intake system can actually HURT you and cause a loss of power.

I would even venture to say that you would be better off with the flat panel K&N filter (~$35) that goes into the stock air box.

Are the Stillen and JWT the only intakes with the velocity stack?

I think so , so yes because if not, then we would probably know about it.
