A brake and clutch line fittings standardized?
*edit* title should say "Are..." 
Since I can't locate a hard clutch line I need for my auto-manual conversion, I'm going to just try to build one. However, I'm confused on fitting standardization (or lack thereof).
What I'm trying to do is replace line 30650+B in the picture below, bypass the distribution block, and connect the line directly to 30651 (which I have an s/s braided line already).
So, I was hoping I could just buy 10" of s/s brake hose, and then use two male to male fittings to connect the line to the master cylinder and the slave cylinder line respectively. I'm thinking this should work just fine but I'm uncertain on fitting sizes as JEGS doesn't show any options. It's just showing "-03AN"

My brother went to NAPA and has an SS brake line made for his Suburban, the fittings were made by EARLS', good stuff. It also was also stamped DOT, so you know its gotta be good.
Call and find one local that can do this and bring in the two fittings for reference. They should be able to put together a nice line.

Also you could use adaptes such as these 10MM X 1.0 MALE or 10MM X 1.25 MALE, allowing you to use regular AN hose ends. Not sure what size you would need, but there ought to be something.

Sorry re-read your post, braided stainless lines and fittings were developed for use in military aircraft. -AN is a military spec used for sizing line and fittings and only applies to the hose, hose end, and corresponding fitting. The fittings will have an -AN size as well as flare, or pipe thread, etc. You will need adapters or specialized brake line ends. search for EARLS.
