Another reason I asked is because this guy posted in the 1/4 mile time thread that he got 9.8 or around that in the 1/8 mile with his stock GLE. That time sounds a little off to me??

Oh, to add to my disbelief he has Enkei Zenkei 17's... I didn't think those were lighter than the stock GLE rims??

This was my fastest of the day -

1/8 - 10.050

I don't see a stock auto doing 9.9's more or less 9.8's.

On one of my runs, I killed a LS1 Trans AM off the line (I couldn't believe it). I had a killer reaction time and 60 foot time which attributed to the kill. Once he got hooked up, he left me good. The guys that drive those cars need a lot of practice on their launches.

So true. When it is my turn to go to the track, I probably need a few runs in to get the launch down right. I think the launch will be the deciding factor on whether or not I'll get a good time.

You will get better times. The start is where you don't have much tractions and your trying to get that car moving. When the car hooks up is when you rely on the HP and gearshifts. Being that I don't have a VB, I had to think more to think about. I helped the tranny shift by feathering the throttle. Took some practice in my everyday driving but I did it.

I wish me and Medic's last race was taped. Even the guy in the booth was impressed with how close we were in time (off by .002 - me). Let me add that Medics car is faster than mine.

I agree... From my experience it is almost impossible to get a stock auto into the 9's.

Hey, when I got home I took it to a car wash and got most of the deer meat off. It was frozen to my axle and undercarriage. most of it came off though. You should have seen the meat laying on the ground when I was done.

This was the best I was able to do stock...

R/T 0.652
60' 2.367
330 6.583
1/8th 10.037
MPH 71.84
1000 13.009
1/4th 15.559
MPH 87.32

I might have been able to do a little better with better tires, but I never got a chance!

my trap speed were kinda low @ around 94+ mph on both runs. i need to change my shift points. i shifted a little early, not much but a little. and LUCENT, those times are fast for a stock AUTO.

Thanks for the love people.

Lucentauto: Well, I guess the methods for getting the auto to go down the strip could be easy but I found that we can all stop shifting our autos on the strip for good. It make you run slower plus confuses the tranny computer. I would say, normally the auto should be running very high 15's. I ran 16's all day at Maxus (track sucked).

Mechanic: I had been talking to Aaron about my times and he told me about your times, so I knew it could be done. I am so close to 15.5. My lowest 1/4 mile was 15.62 seconds.
