It's not about how much the car's worth. I don't give a rat's *** what your car or its tires are worth. I know I'm happy with my Maxima, and that's that.

Your happy with your maxima bcs thats all you can have. You have no choice but to force yourself to be happy with it

You sound like you have a real promising future in store.

Im already living a better life than you and i've never worked a day in my life

Here's something for you to try: Go out and try and pick up a girl. When she comments on your car, let your response be, "Thanks. Daddy bought it for me." See what she says. If she even stays around after that.

I dont use my car to pick up girls lol, something you guys cannot do even if you wanted BTW im in HS, chicks my age do not care who bought my car lmao.

Whiney babies, hardly. Guys that have worked hard with what we've got to get something we're proud of? Yes.

Oh how original, something a guy in denial would say. Please you drive a maxima and im pretty damn sure thats not your first choice in car.

I know for a fact that I'm way more proud of the work I've done on my Maxima than I'm sure you are of your M3. Something given to you is never as highly valued as something you spend your own money on. Proven fact.

ORLY? lol good for you...i still have a better car.

I'm in college. I'm paying for my school. I think education is a bit more important than a car.

Oh wait, you don't know about that, either? I'm sure daddy will pay for your college education, too. Don't worry.

Hey. Here's a word of advice: We don't CARE about the money. We care about the enthusiast following and the community.

I'd love to see where you two are in ten years when daddy pulls the money tree. I bet you two will fall flat on your faces. Obviously, you have no idea what it means to work for what you own.

I'm in for pics of all your cars. Let's see them if they're so awesome.

If I wanted a different car, I'd go out and buy one. I'm not forcing myself to be happy with it. I am happy with it. And the three other cars I own.

Maybe it's not my first choice car, but I'm pretty good with it, thanks. I don't want a BMW or a Porsche. Know why? Because most kids my age that have one are douchebags. I don't fit that bill. You and your buddy do perfectly, though.

I have several reasons for not wanting an M3. I probably would take a Maxima over the M3 for several reasons outside of performance.

so you guys obviously think m3 guy is going to go nowhere? It's funny how you guys "think" he is going to do with his life down the road. You are doing what haters do.

He is already using it to his advantage by investing the money.

Maxima guys have Maxima thinking.

This is getting retarded.

Once you graduate high school, fakeluxury, maybe you'll learn something called tact. Yeah, you can come in to a Maxima forum just to troll it. But why? In case you've missed it, this forum isn't a Maxima circle jerk. There are as many threads talking about the shortcomings and drawbacks of the Maxima as there are talking about how fast it is. Obviously it won't hang with a Z or G or BMW stock for stock. No one is claiming it is. People here have Maximas for many reasons, and for most of us, price was a more important factor than speed. But there is something to be said for doing repairs and maintenance yourself, and trying to make your car better. Yeah, you're not going to see many Maximas sitting on a $3,000 set of 20" BBS wheels like you would at a BMW forum, but that's not what it's about. Once you grow up and are supporting yourself and money has more worth to you, you'll see the appeal of an inexpensive, easy to maintain car that is still decently comfortable and quick, and looks pretty nice too. Maxima modding is about getting your hands dirty and trying something new, not going to a website and picking out a bunch of new parts and then dropping the BMW off at the dealership to get them installed.

M3>You
You're just a plain douchebag. We all went to high school with guys like you. Enjoy being the cool kid with the nicest car now, because this is going to be the high point of your life. This is when your friends revere you because of the status symbols you own. As you get older, your peers begin to care more about your character than your possessions, and it will just keep going down hill from the day you graduate high school onwards.

why would i want something "better"? i get complements every day about my 3rd gen, when i go to the mall i have people come up to me and ask me what kind of car it is, everytime i pull into Shell for gas they say nice car what kind, and i had a guy follow me home for 3 Kilometers asking to buy my 3rd gen on the spot.

this whole thread reminds me of the riced 350z YouTube video, Viper kid in Tokyo Drift as mentioned, and GT-R Mustang on youtube. its funny most of us know our cars and can do custom work, yet the young kids with WRX and 350z usually know nothing.

and i can vouch for the nicest 2nd and 3rd gen, at least these people can do their own custom work rather than getting something already turbo

Doing your own work on your car doesnt make your car any better. That maxima doesn't look bad but its still a fwd eco friendly sedan with a big intercooler to hide the fact that its a grocery getter.

Those young "douchebags" with nice cars you guys speak of, well they have nice cars that they got bcs they wanted it. you guys are just hating on them bcs you had no choice but get your hand me down maxima. Plus a set of 19" tires are worth more than your cars,..damn.

As for reliablity, i dont care if my car ever gives out. I have warranty, and by the time that warranty is over ill probably have 5 other cars in my garage you guys can only dream of.

I asked for pictures of your cars. How come you guys ignored that?

Funny how you have a response to everything I say BUT that.

And don't try posting some pics off of Google Images. I'm talking with some kind of tag to let us know they're legit.

I've beaten countless 350z's, all years, most of them with simply bolt ons such as exhaust and intake. and let's not even talk about g35's that are heavier.

I know you are going to start crying and calling bs, but i've also taken m3's no problem.

My maxima was my first choice. Since my tt it's a two seater, i needed a grocery getter, that was cheap, fast and reliable, something it's really hard to find now days...
and i don't regret my decision.

How do you behave on the m3 forums? (asuming you have one...)
are you such a douche just like here??

and something a wise man told me once....."is not really yours until you've taken it apart and put it back together.

The amount of ignorance and douchebaggery cracks me up. That's all. I think it's funny listening to them talk about all the money their daddies have.

One thing I've learned growing up is that it's those who talk about having money the most that usually have nothing. Sure, they might have a Mercedes and a lot of nice clothes, but when it comes time to throw the cards down on the table, they don't have anything else to show.

i'll be surprised if you can bring a 160hp/180tq stock car to the numbers JoeBoost has

and lol at the start of this thread, you guys are in for a reality check after highschool. girls in highschool are for guys with cash and flash, but afterwards, they want a guy that works and can support himself. all of the respectable people i know with highly modded cars (R32 GTR, S14 Silvia with S15 front end, etc) work long days and rip the car out nights and weekends, same as me though i work 6 days or 7 days a week, i'm content with making lots of money during the week in order to buy parts and fire the car around nights

in for car pics as well else i'm calling BS. i'm sure you have a glorious camera, even your cellphone is 15mp i bet

and BMW are bad for problems, theres many people on here that used to have BMW's (one that had some crazy roadster one) but he got sick of the problems and bought his 4th gen.

and why would we want to search other forums? we all work hard for our cars and car parts, we dont have that kind of time. we also dont register and sign up on other forums just to start crap

My grandma buys a new BMW every 70k miles because it becomes cheaper than maintaining the old one. She's on her third 3-series. Apparently the sporty handling is more important to her than reliability. I've had the Maxima for 15 months and it's cost me... roughly $1k in maintenance, and 700 of that was tires.</trollfeed>

The biggest problem I have with my car is how much stuff that I read on the forums doesn't apply because it's a '99 Cali spec SE-L. 5-minute KS replacement? Try all day. Cattman Y-pipe? Well, maybe if you run an O2 simulator and replace the front exhaust manifold (not worth it).

Also, what the hell was Nissan thinking, making LSD such a rare option in a FWD car with all this torque? They shouldn't have even tooled the factory for a manual transmission with an open differential.

Oh, and what's up with there being so many different axles? Not really a major complaint, but I go to the parts store for a half-shaft and they need year, make, model, side, transmission code (man/auto, open/LSD), ABS or not, social security number, favorite color, and mother's maiden name. It would be a lot simpler and the cars would probably perform better if Nissan engineers had taken the extra time to make the drivetrain symmetrical. Imagine a world without torque steer...

Maybe I was lucky but the 2 4th gens I had, had great rad supports and 1st had 133k when I sold it and the 2nd had 160k when I sold it and I live in Minnesota plus they never saw the comfort of a garage. I believe you though cause I read about the problem often on this site.
