injectors that are guarenteed to have an open in the coil at some point
coil packs that die when you do a tuneup
camshaft gears that strip out on 2.5l
constand camshaft pos. sensor that fail
oil leak front oil filter adapters on 3.5 because they loosen with oil filter
water pump placement on bacially all new nissans
only making the maxima ve for 3 years so that i have to special order parts
hmm thats all from the top of my head. i love my nissan

1. seems like I've had a lot of odometer/speedometer problems with nissans over the years
2. 6th and 7th gens are such a departure from everything I've loved about maximas for the last 15 years, and I can't put my finger on every reason why, but I think the 2 leading things would have to be the percieved increase in size and the lack of a manual transmission. At the end of the day a super clean 5.5 gen or black on black 4th gen turn my head faster than any of the newer ones.
3. The fact that they will probably never make them rwd/awd.
4. like everyone else has said: the folding seat thing.
5. the growing number of trashed, beaten and abused examples I see on the road.

They could stop playing around with the 4DSC moniker for our cars and either really make it that by dropping either a 6-speed manual or a 7speed auto-manual (option) with at least 400 horses AWD or RWD.
Most of the cars that claim to be "sport" are running nearly 380horses or more nowadays, were far behind the power curve here.

What V6 is generating 380 to 400 ponies? Without being boosted that is? Unless that is what you are talking about! Perhaps that is the route Nissan and Infinity has to go in order to get to 400 horses, or V8..... I just don't see Maxima with a V8 though imo

IIRC 3rd gens were the only 4DSC werent they? it was because 3rd gens brought curves to the 4dr sedan when Toyota and Mazda were still making boxy sedans like the Camry and the 626/929. i think members have just followed 4DSC ever since while 3rd gens are the only official 4DSC

The Maxima was redesigned in 1989 as the J30 (not to be confused with the unrelated Infiniti J30) model. Bigger dimensions made it the second Japanese sedan sold in the USA to qualify as a "mid-size" (after the Mazda 929); it was also the first Japanese car to exceed Japan's 67 in (1701.8 mm) width restriction, making it fairly comfortable for three rear seat passengers. Surprisingly, weight actually decreased slightly from the former generation. Nissan called the new Maxima a 4-Door Sports Car and even gave it a "4DSC" window decal showing this

Had a 2009 Black Maxima with charcoal interior. Now have a 2010 White Maxima with beige interior. Nissan uses the same headliner for all Maxima interiors. It's kinda a silver/beige color so it looks good in the charcoal interior but doesn't match the beige interior I have now. Everything else with the car is perfect!

They could...
Figure out the pinging issues on the VQ engines and issue a recall
Figure out the Oil consumption on older cars and issue a recall
Have better customer service when you call Nissan
Offer a manual transmission and conventional 6-7 speed transmission and get rid of the CVT
Improve quality control at the factory
