Last week I found out my maxima was totaled
So come January, I'll be looking to get a replacement vehicle. I had been thinking about trying to find the same car (96 SE loaded w/ 5-speed) but that may prove to be difficult. I was wondering if anyone here had suggestions as to a possibly better replacement vehicle (doesn't have to be nissan) that preferably doesn't cost more than $11K ($10K would be nice).

Also, are there many differences between the 5-speed and automagic configurations of the SE (besides the lack of manual shifting).

Get a '95 superblack SE 5spd for 8k, save up a little, and supercharge it. Talk about serious speed. Be prepared to hang with the big boys.
