Favorite Color for 2002 MAXIMA?? (POLL)

In the beginning of Nov. I bought my 2002 6-speed Max in Sterling Silver. I really wanted the Dark blue or the Black but the car was so rare then they almost laughed at me. I REALLY wanted the car so I bought it telling myself I will get it repainted in the future. Well the funds are suffient and the future is now so I need your opinions!! Should I paint it or keep the Sterling Silver???

I would keep it silver. Trying to paint it another color can only be done right, if the gut the car and start over. Otherwise you will see the silver in the engine bay and certain other areas. It would be cheaper to buy another one. I think the silver looks really good, especially with tint.

Never repaint a new car unless you absolutely have too! Most places out their just dont paint the overall car as good as a factory job.

My 2k2 is colored glacier pearl(which is white). I would have picked the dark blue color but it had options that I didn't need. After owning the car for 3 mos now I'm kinda glad that I chose white coz it's so much easier to maintain. Dirt doesn't show up as much on it as it would on a darker color.

Yea,
The sterling silver is starting to grow on me a little because it is so easy to maintain. But, It has hues of light brown that I really don't like. And the new black Maximas look soooo nice. Maybe after a few months I will be satisfied with the color. And, I have never owned a car other that black, so I am still getting used to it.

I'd say stick with the Sterling Mist. It isn't a bad color and it isn't worth the hassle of painting a new car a new color. If you really wanted a different color, why didn't you wait? If you do paint it, paint it Gray Lustre....I only say that because it is an awesome color

I wouldn't repaint such a new car. It can't possibly be as good as painting a car before all the bits and pieces have been added on. Maybe after a few years, when the miles have dulled the paint somewhat and a few dings have been added...maybe. That way you get a new-looking car. (Assumes you'd let your car become grungy in the first place though.)

And no matter how good the painters do, anyone can figure out it's been repainted. The first thing a prospective buyer will think is: "must have have been in an accident." Mostly because people don't typically paint new cars.

The only way I'd paint a new car would be if I had an overwhelming desire to paint it a color that wasn't available stock or do some custom paint job with stripes, etc. If I remember right, when the NSX came out, they had lots of pictures of yellow ones that looked great. Probably from Japan because I don't think you could get one in the US in yellow.

And my first motorized vehicle, a brand new 1969(?) K1 Honda Mini-Trail Z50A had a cool orange model in the brochure, but they didn't sell one! I always wanted an orange one. (I still have that sucker by the way; I painted it orange along the way but didn't do a very good job.)
