Those with CAI's and AEM bypass valve...

Where did you install the bypass valve? Shouldn't it be placed before the MAF? Just looking at the PR CAI there is not place you could put it. just wondering...cuz a CAI might be in my future...

I swear Chris91se said there was a recall on these a while back. you should look into it.

I am aware of the recall. I currently do not own either the bypass valve or CAI. The recall was for a certain batch made, not every single one. Now the problem was solved on the newer ones.

yup there was a recall sometime last year. if you do somehow get one in that batch they won't warranty any damage since it's not being used with one of their intake systems.

i can't help you on the install as i don't have one nor do i plan to install one. my guess is that it goess somewhere around the filter area and def. before the MAF

I know that they won't warranty it b/c it is not being used on one of their systems.

On another note, i did e-mail place racing and they did say they sell them(AEM Bypass valve) and they would install one on the lower pipe by cutting a section to get it on.
