question/opinions about sub frame connectors
i posted this question on another thread and i dont think ive gotten an answer yet.. i have a 95 gle with h&r's, kyb's, addco rsb, stillen fstb, and 18x8.5" in rims.. i live in nyc. my car rides tight and hard enough as it is. its gettin to the point of ****ing me off some days. now my question is, if i added sub-frame connectors will this make the ride quality even worse as far as driver comfort, or will it improve driver comfort becuase it helps eleminate cabin flex? i dont wanna pay for the conectors and then the install and then not even wanna drive my car anymore.

Just guessing... I don't think it will make a significant difference in your ride considering what you already have. It MAY be a little more stiff but the rigidity of the frame will be better.

The rigidity of the car is greater, but the actual ride comfort got better too. as I said in my review, (read the whole thing.. several times if need be.)
when I go over bumps, it doesn't bounce around. it just bumps, then goes on. no more rattling around while the car figures out it's still on the ground. it's just the one bump, and done- if that makes sense.
think it's almost like the difference between brand new shocks and a set of 20 yr old ones.. it's "bump" or "bump, bounce bounce bounce" etc.
But No. overall ride comfort did not decrease. it actually got a bit better.

what about damage to the frame or anything? I mentioned subframe connectors to someone and he said that you can cause the frame to pull apart or something...I totally forget what he said...but it was scornful...I was half asleep when it was said.

well..... you have a better handling car to start with, don't forget that
I've had both and the 93 SE would out handle my max w/ FSTB anyday even with 45k miles more and blown front struts.
I am now considering getting the Frame connectors a a couple of weeks, before the RSB. I got an FSTB already..

definitly get rid of 18's and no more 40 tires, go for 50
someone mentioned recently they put on 90's 300zx wheels (16.5x7.5?) andi think they look great, and they suposedly performed good too
that is what im thinking of getting
