Installed UDP and fixed exhaust leak...

well the UDP install was realitly easy.. except i unscrewed the smaller pulley tightner screw and i had a hell of a time getting it back in..... then the larger belt tension pulley "bolt" somehow got crossed treaded.. so i had to tighten it the old fashion way... i got a huge screwdriver and pushed... and my bother tightened the pulley.....

can i feel difference?.. yes.. yes i can (so dougy)

i get to 6000 rpm a lot quicker than i did before...the car is more responsive at lower rpms..(which i was hoping for)

the exhaust leak? hmm.. when i got the car on the lift... there was a bolt missing one the cat.. so.. replace the bolt.. make sure everything it tight.. ~~~boom~~~ no more leak!!

i aslo found out why there was a clunking noise from my rear passenger side... the b pipe is touching the underbody when i corner.. so a muffler gromet and a bolt in the right place and that noise will be history...

it was a good weekend!! got all my "problems" fixed!!

Let's see, the car gets to 6000 faster, but I bet your ETs haven't changed. How is that possible then? The best a person has gooten is a .2 second faster time in the 1/4, which IS NOT feelable. How are you feeling it?

actually .2 seconds is pretty damn good....that's roughly half of what a y-pipe gets you. I ran 2mph faster traps with UDP even with a 30mph headwind and BAD 60 foots...

I think the reason your buddy with the 2k max is beating you now is that your car has finally adjusted to the UDP take it off and you will beat him once again

that's funny....becuase the night BEFORE he beat me...I beat him....It was a loose air intake, dragging brakes, and loose spark plugs that was messing up my car.

Redmax.....Could you give me more details on the quick fix for your rapping B-pipe? Mine started this when I added a y-pipe and rt cat to cat back. Thanks.

well, i looked under the car and the last bend on the b-pipe was where the clunking noise is coming from. that is where the muffler and b-pipe connects just move the pipe around some.. it was appent mine was clunking.. i pushed it and i clunked..

the quick fix is---the rubber gromet thing (muffler hanger)secure one right on the place were the pipe touches. they are made for heat. so you will not melt it. they are only like $3

Yes, mine hits at the same location. So, you just let it hit the gromet rather than the under body.....Right?

Ok, cool! Don't you think that your exhaust is kinda sloppy with the oem hangers? My exhaust has quite a bit of lateral movement.

the lateral movement is terrible....

they forgot to add one more hanger.... that would have stiffened it up enough..

Yep! The (easy) options are to weld a rod to the body and exhaust or polyethelene bushings etc.....It's all hackery! I know, yo its ok and rba did something with some custom hangers at $15 a piece (pricey) but I would like to do something clean and tight.
