I Quote from a relationship I had. During a fight.
"You pay more *beeping* attention to your car more then you do to me"
"you caught me there"
we broke up but it was no biggie. I love my maxx my true lady.

-You've spent more money on her than on me.
-Are you really going to spend the whole morning in the garage ?
-When you talk about your car I space out. I don't care.
-You ordered another part ?

"i spend too much time on my car" "why can't i just put it in the shop thats what they are there for". one day i took the sig from one of the org memebers and i asked her how she would feel if i paid someone to sleep with her, needless to say she didn't get it or think it was funny, i did, and at least she walked away and stopped complaining.

When I first was looking to buy the car for me and the wife she was like "thats so ugly, why can't you get a mazda or an suv" then I pretty much ignored her and got it anyway. It grew on her. Haven't gotten anymore complaints and probably won't; I'm not even modding this car I got my car for that. Gotta teach her stick though :/

The Maxima is my wife's daily. Her only complaint is the turning radius. She's been driving it for 10 years now and still loves it. I steal the keys from her as often as I can and I still enjoy it after all this time as well.

My girlfriend doesn't complain too much. She likes driving it sometimes (and it's awesome she can...it's a stick), and her favorite thing is the heated seats.

She wonders why I insist on buying premium gas though...

"I hate that red car, and all it does is sit in the garage, I hope it stays in there forever"

"Why in the hell did you get the same exact car" .... It's not red though... "UGHHHHH... At least it has heated seats, if it wasn't for that I would probably blow it up"

My GF doesn't buy me things for my car because "you already spend to much time with it" and another favorite is "my ***** hate your car" Im assuming because I have a stiff suspension and they flop quite often lol

"You spend to much money on it" (most recently headers and ypipe for $350).
"You spent $350 on something your car didn't need?!"
"I hate how it sounds now that you put that $350 part on here"
"Riding in your car gives me a headache"
"How come you never let me drive it?"
"You spend more time with your car then me"
"You are on that stupid website AGAIN?"
etc etc

If I had a dime for every time I heard a compliant or got in a fight over my Maxi, I'd have enough money to supercharge it.

I showed my wife a couple things I wanted to do to the car she goes "how much is THAT little mod gonna cost you?".

Whenever I tell her about the car she spaces out...I catch myself and go "you don't care, do you?" She replies back with "I care that you care!"

I told her I wanted to lower it maybe 2 inches, she goes "fine, I don't care, just as long as you don't call me in my Outback to save your *** next time it snows and you get stuck"...

Leaving a hockey game recently walking through the parking garage. . .

Me: There's my baby.
Her: What'd you just say?! Did you really just call it your baby?
Me: Yea. . . .
Her: We are so fighting.

At least it was a nice quiet drive home.

I've also had a similar fight.
She hates that I've named it and that I talk to it when I give it a fresh coat of wax after a car wash.

Multiple complaints from her:
"You're gonna leave me to run off and marry your car"

"I don't like the design, it's ugly"

"You take off too fast" -- really, what do you expect from these cars? Of course with gas prices I've changed my driving habits... a little

"You spend way too much on gas, you should use regular [87] and not premium [93]" -- honestly wish I didn't have to explain this one to her, and why she should always be running at least 89 in her own car

"You spend too much money fixing your car, you should just let your car go and when it doesn't run anymore/rusts out get a new one, it's just a machine" -- seriously... do I need to explain how wasteful it is to just let a car get needlessly run into the ground?

"You should never spend $400 on tires for a car" -- she said this because I purchased a set of 4 Yokohama AVID Touring-S tires, old tires were so bad I was worried to drive on the highway

"Your synthetic oil changes cost too much, why don't you just get the oil everyone else uses? It's not like your car needs it anyway" -- of course I then remind her [since she seems to always forget about it] that her engine is using the same synthetic oil and that with as little as she drives (and as long as her engine doesn't overheat) she really only has to change it one to two times a year, which saves some money.

The only compliment she's ever had about my car was the day we moved last year, the one and only time she got to drive it (only because I had to return the u-haul truck): "I love how your car handles, it's like I don't even have to try to turn the steering wheel and it responds" -- and of course afterward she was like "my Maxima, get your own"

My wife only complains if I buy something without asking her first. I always figured it was better to beg forgiveness than to ask permission. That gets me a pretty good glare though... Otherwise, she actually really likes the Maxima and wants to learn how to drive a stick because of it. Today I showed her the 04 Elite that's for sale and she said "Oooh, that's really nice!" I asked her if I should buy it and she was quick enough to first ask "Where is it?" I told her Illinois. You can guess what her answer was....lol!

Me and my now Ex got into it... I have a remote start on my 02 6spd... She told me to knock it off or she would put my car in gear in the middle of the night so it would drive off and hit something... I enjoy being single now

New GF loves the car, but said "Am I going to have to fight for attention with Priya (Maxima's name)?"

I said, "Baby, there's no competition." Little did she know I meant the car would always win.

Well Priya could mean any one of these things in her reference to your Maxima.

Where do i start??

Your car is a money pit and we cant afford it,sell it!
Why cant you just drive it and not mod it?
Lemme guess, something to do with your car,i dont care!
Your car is going to break us up!

Needless to say,she bought me new bumpers for it,and likes the car, just not that i spend alot of time on painting parts or modding it...

my gf absolutely love my max.... until i do a brake check at all 4 stop signs leaving her neighborhood. she usualy switches from verbal to phisical reactions around the second stop sign. one time she actualy hit her head on the dash..., actualy now that i think of it idk she hasnt left me for cheating on her wiith my maxi lol.

so i guess her only complaint is the ceramic pads and drilled/ slotted rotters.
