HELP---------------> Need help to remove the dash so I can

Get behind the headunit. Its a 99 auto. I need help asap. I already took off the middle airvents but what next.....

I'm going to try to do this from memory so, it might not be exact. There is no need to remove the whole dash to get behind the headunit, but you know that. Start by removing the plastic piece around the shifter. The ashtray should have a few screws around it and then that'll come out. Then i think you need to deal with the vents on top, i think they pry out, but i don't have my shop manual near me, so i can't tell you exactly. Then there should be a few screws holding in the whole middle part of the car(the headunit and all that good stuff). Sorry i can't be of more help, i'm here at college and don't have access to most of my stuff.

the only thing thats holding it are 4 screws- remove the air vents and clock cluster and there will be 2 screws.

remove the cover thats around the shifter and take out ash tray and there will be 2 scres on each side. now you canpull out the whole console. Just becareful when screwing unscrewing. thats how I accidentally dropped some screws and now lost forever somewhere in the shifter area
