G Force ECU w/ N02 Program

I am sorry bill .. but i would like to clear up my ignorance or lack there of in the other thread which you had to lock..

I did a search.. yes.. i did..

http://forums.maxima.org/search.php?...der=descending

and I don't see any threads with Cheston offering a G Force ECU w/ N02 program.. now if their was.. i will gladly eat my words.. but I am on this forum day and night every day.. and i still can't remember ever seen such a thing advertised..

Of course i would be interested in such a thing because the JWT is $900 ..

this is not a flame thread.. i am seriously interested in knowing if they have one.. because cheston said i was ignorant for not knowing.. Matt? Thomas? Paul? Steve? Synki? Don? any of you heard of this?

Neither of you needs to be sorry, I just don't want the personal stuff getting in the way.....

I am interested in knowing this as well.

I would think Cheston ment custom. Hell, I would think that G-Force would do anything for the right amount of money...

Like I told Cheston before, the fellas dogg it because it doesn't do what most of these guys are expecting from it. For some people it may not be worth the money.

No off the shelf, just custom.

They can only retard the ignition timing for all use. Not like the JWT where it would switch back and forth between timing maps. Actually for a SC car this would be a good deal!

I am really considering the JWT NOS kit.. is that going to conflict with Boost? or is it going to help?

Sprint what is the difference between the kit they give and the NO2 you have installed already? Just the ECU?

the JWT has a NOS module on the ECU.. that can do some fancy stuff.. here is matt's quote..

NOS claims that your stock ignition timing is ok if you use the kit as directed. However most NOS users recommend that you retard the ignition timing 2 degrees per 50hp. The only way to do this on the Maxima as of this writing is by using the JWT NOS ECU Daughter board. Its ~$900 and only available for the 95 & 96 years of the 4th gens, and I think for the 3rd gens also. JWT also controls the fuel flow for NOS runs. It’s the way to go if you have the $$$. However to increase the power level you must send your computer back to JWT to be reprogrammed.

The two will not be compatible due to the rising rate fuel pressure regulator used in the SC kit. The JWY nitrous kit needs stock 43psi fuel pressure.

So the g-Force ECU uses only one map, and you have to choose whether to use the N/A map or a custom NOS-Optimized map? I asked this in the other thread but it got locked.

You mean with the NOS fuel map or the N/A fuel map. I'm pretty sure they have made N/A ones, when they were called UPRD at least. I don't know about the NOS one though, thats why I'm askin

Sprintmax- I have a 95 JWT ECU in my 1997 maxima and have been following the UPRD ECU very carefully and there has been no talk about an ECU NOS module. If you want an ECU NOS module your best right now it to get a JWT ECU and do it that way.

There is talk of a NOS ECU from UPRD (now G-Force) on chestons webpage. I don't know if it ever panned out though.

Anyone know if JWT plans on releasing an ECU for cars past 96?

Could you have JWT program the NO2 ecu to just retard the timing when the nitrous is activated, and not effect the fuel pressure, because thats all I really would want it to do anyways.

Now I have a question for you guys, Ive seen people post before about the 95-96 JWT ecu being used in 97-99, so if I were to have JWT do a custom program for say bigger injectors, and timing retard (this would be at all times, not just for the no2 like we were talking about before) would it work in my 97?

I never heard of anyone going to make a NOSed ECU except JWT. I heard something about S/Ced ECU. It would be nice to get a ECU that works for a 99 for NA & on teh bottle. Too bad the JWT doesnt work for 99's.

Until then.. (if it ever happens) i will be stuck on stock timing.

There is a way around it

The 98+ SE-R and sentra SE guys have the same problem with no JWT ECU being available. However they do swap in the earlier B14/G20 ECU from the 95-97 cars. I'm sure nissan didn't totally make a whole new wiring harness for the 98+ vs the 95-97. What needs to be done is compare the ECU circuit diagrams. Now if the sensors are on different pins then some rewiring will be required. Now a more expensive but easier way would be to make a harness adapter that allows the 97-99 wiring harness convert to the 95-96 ECU wiring harness. I believe these are in developement for the B15 sentra's so they can get B14 JWT ECUs.

Not at all

JWT offers a n2o program with anything else you'd want. I've seen JWT turbo SE-Rs with the n2o spool up program and even another program for water injection/race gas. Since JWT has had I30Krab's car for a while they should be able to offer a pretty good SC program for 4th gens.
