I saw a 96-98 Mustang GT take a corner quite fast at the intersection where I was stopped at a red light. He was turning right onto the road I was on, heading the direction I was heading. So I thought I'd see if I could have some fun with him. I caught up to him about 2 miles up the road. We were in a long flat expanse next to an airstrip, two lanes each way divided by a center lane. I cruised past him slowly and he didn't respond in any way. I noticed as I passed him slowly that he had Altezza lights and Flowmasters were evident. I got a few cars ahead of him and slowed down just a tad. He sped up and got next to me and punched it for a second. I did the same. We went back and forth like this for probably 30 seconds, getting on it for a second and then letting off. We were both running in 3rd side by side at 60 mph. Finally he punched it and I followed suit. He pulled out about a half car on me because he initiated the run. I pulled him back in and passed him. At 95 mph he was about 1.5-2 cars behind me. We both got on the brakes and I gave a thumbs up out the window as he passed me. His windows were tinted so I couldn't tell if he did the same. It was a nice little race, unusual for this time of year in Michigan.
