Haven't been here in a minute...

Haven't been here in a long time... I still lurk from time to time though.

Just got done doing some work on my wife's i30 and thought I'd share. Tons of information on this site and it's easy to find too, but that's because I know how to use the search button, LOL.

Here's a crappy pic to make this thread more exciting:

i35/q45 17" wheels... I've had some drop springs for it sitting in the box for 2 years now, someday I'll put them on.

153k on the i30 now and just changed:
Spark plugs (yeah, I know... I'm lazy)
Belts
Thermostat
Both axles (not very fun)
Short ram air intake (mainly for the lawlz/sound)

Cleaned the EGR tube (had the code, easier to do this than I thought... used a dremel to chop that bolt)
Cleaned the IACV
Cleaned the TB
Cleaned cloudy headlights

I strongly suggested an i30/maxima to the wife so that would mean I would not have to regularly work on it and so far it's paid off. She likes to mess with the local ricers once in a while, they get scared when they hear the short ram scream.

Here's the reason why I'm not around here so much...

Haha thanks!! I do plan to drop it... just need to get it done. May build custom suspension for it like I did with my Starion. Wouldn't be that difficult.

Forgot to add the i30 has Porterfield R4s all around and had to replace the right rear caliper, was seized like a mother trucker.

I never liked dropped cars before looking at those cheap civic lowered that bounce really funny cause of their crappy suspension but when i bought my maxima it was already lowered and the suspension was real tight professionally done and really liked the way it looked with the 18' rims... i love my maxima
