Ceramic Brakes

So I heard recently that they have come out with a newer "perfected" ceramic brake that operates 350 degrees cooler than average brakes. They were trying to pitch it to me at AutoZone. I guess they perfected the compound and the right type of mixture of semi-metals in these new ceramic brakes. A friend of mine said he purchased them and they work like a dream. Does anyone else have input on these/ experience with these new ceramic brakes?

Some company/brand and model info on the brakes would help too.

Good ceramic brakes do stop well and leave very little dust on the wheels.

Search of AZ's website doesn't turn up the part, or pads in general. You sure AZ carries them? They show up on Amazon and a few other places..

The ones you're finding on amazon and other places are nearly the same.

I buy the ceramics just because I HATE brake noise.
It all depends on what they mean by "average brakes".
